Primark Stores

Cheap clothing and household items. Gets busy on a Saturday and there can often be queues.

I don’t rate this Primark store too highly it is one of the older fitted stores, it is a bit on the small size too with a peculiar shape to it, even though it has two floors it still lacks space and choice. I much prefer the larger more modern stores like Bedford, Luton or Cambridge in particular which is massive.
Can anyone remember roughly when the Stevenage Primark opened???

Large branch with good size changing room — an efficient place to go if on a scouting mission for essentials!

I always find this store to be fairly tidy and there is always a quick turnover of stock so there are new things everytime I go. There is also always a good range of sizes in most items.
There are fitting rooms in 2 floors, which is great as I hardly ever have to queue. There are also tills on both floors. They have a separate Customer Services section but often only 1 person serving so I often have to queue for a little while when making a return.
My only complaint is that the accessories section is small (not many bags!)

Primark is one of Stevenage Town Centre’s best assets, and one of the few reasons I occasionally choose to shop in Stevenage rather than Hitchin. You can’t beat them on value for money. Their underwear & pyjama ranges are the best, with their children’s clothes a close second. They are also good for cheap socks, slippers, jeans, tops etc.
I wouldn’t say that their clothes are the best quality, and I often find items becoming damaged not long after purchase, but I guess this is to be expected when they are so cheap.
Like most Primark stores, this tends to be very busy and I hate crowds, so that’s a big downside for me. They do have a lift up to the first floor though, which I find helpful since I am a buggy pusher.

Like a massive jumble sale and you really have to rummage to find sizes etc. Queues are usually pretty massive for the checkouts and I find it easier to take things home to try on and then return as the changing rooms are messy and not very nice

Very, very cheap clothing items, although the quality is awful. Clothes that are bought from here don’t usually last very long. But you can get some pretty good bargains. There are also usually long queues, and the shop is very messy.

Known for its low prices, primark doesn’t disapoint. I always get frulstrated at its jumble sale feel though, and as such i always go first thing in the morning becuase the staff tidy up after shutting. The queues are massive but move fairly quickly. Their home section is particually worth a look!

This two storey Primark, located close to the bus and train station, can get very busy but who can blame people. Primark is known for its low price fashion items which means that those who like to follow the current trends can do so without burning a huge hole in their wallet. The ground floor houses men and women’s clothing, with the second floor housing children’s clothing, shoes, underwear, sleepwear and homewear. They have a broad variety in all ranges and all at very reasonable prices. There are changing rooms and cashiers on both floors which helps reduce waiting times, though only one customer services desk which at peak times i.e. Christmas/​New Year, can be a bit of a wait, but is otherwise fine. If you want to update your wardrobe on the cheap this is the place to go.

im not too keen on this shop, yer its cloths are cheap but they dont seem to last long and if you see something you like the next week they are all out of stock and wont get it back in. its always so crowded and you have to wait for ages at the tills. most of the time the stock is over the floors because its so busy and had to move around without knocking things off. the staff are not friendly at all in my experience.

good cheap clothing. If you are on a budget this is the place to go.
It is great for kids as they grow so quickly they don’t have time to wear it out.
It is fairly messy, and you have to be prepared to do a bit of digging sometimes to get what you want.
The staff are very friendly and prepared to go and look in the storeroom to see if they have your size.

An excellent place for bargain shopping. However if you see something you like, make sure you buy it there and then. The turnover of stock is very fast, so if you wait, it might not be there when you go back. It reacts very quickly to fashion trends, hence the stock turnover. It is also great for kids as the clothes won’t break the bank and it doesn’t matter if they wreck them. I bought my daughter a pair of fleecey pyjamas for three pounds, she loves them

Quite a large store in Stevenage that sells mens, womens and childrens fashion. They have big fitting rooms and very friendly staff. The clothes they sell are of good quality and mostly are very up to date and fashionable. I particularly like the kinda clothes they sell.
