I’ve been going to Broomheads for the past few months, having tried some of the other barbershops in the area first. I have to say, I certainly plan on continuing to go here. The premises aren’t very big, as Broomheads shares«one unit» on Heaton Moor Road with a ladies hairdressers next door. They’re separate businesses and separate premises, but neither are particularly large. There’s space for several barbers, however whenever I’ve been it’s just been the one guy — whose name eludes me at the moment. There’s a sofa by the window for those who are waiting to be seen, but I’ve never been sat there for overly long — usually only around 10 – 15 minutes. In terms of pricing, a gents cut is a mere £9 which covers a myriad of styles and cuts. Prices for kids are slightly less. There’s also a loyalty scheme, whereby if you have a card it gets stamped every visit and then your 6th cut is free. All in all, it’s a good little barbershop and it’s well worth a visit. Y’know, so long as you don’t make me wait longer for a haircut…
