This shopping centre lies on top of the river mersey. It is right next to stockport bus station and the A6 so you can get there easy enough. It has the usual high street shops such as debenhams, carphonewarehouse, ann summers etc so theres something for everyone. Theres a coffee/​snack bar in the middle if you want a sit down and a cup of tea as well as a café and macdonalds etc. It has been done up quite nicely in the last few years and looks quite posh now. It is only round the corner form stockport market too.

A shopping centre that offers a good variety of shops for all age groups.
The shops are mostly leading brand names and some independant shops.
There are plenty of places to grab something to eat, ranging from Mcdonalds to a fabulous smoothie bar.
The shopping centre is well maintained and kept clean. parts of the shopping centre are under cover so if its raining you can still shop without getting wet.
Public toilets are clean and well lit.
Publlic transport is well catered for, the bus station is 200 yards from the entrance and the train station is less than ½ a mile away.
If you traveling by car there is over 5000 car park spaces around the town centre

Merseyway shopping centre is a great place to spend the day shopping. It has lots of high street shops such as Boots, River Island, New Look, British Home Stores, HMV, Woolworths, Superdrug, Topshop and Waterstones bookshop. There are many cafes and coffee shops to take a break in and some quirky pubs which serve home-​cooked lunches. Mornings tend to be a lot quieter, so if you prefer to shop without all the hustle and bustle, head down there between 9 – 11 in the morning. The centre has many car parks, is located next to the bus station and is just a few minutes walk from the train station, so it is easily accessible.
