Quality food and nice pub atmosphere. I find it hard to rate 5 stars though which I should, only reason is I feel like I’m paying city prices in stockport, then again the food is top notch!
Can only go here for treat meals, if dishes were slightly cheaper, I’d be back weekly.

Took my dad for lunch today been here several times before and the food is even better than i remember it was last time, very fresh & tasty, attentive staff & great if you have any allergies/​food intolerences as they ask when you order — also was asked if i wanted additional sauces and was brought the requested sauces i asked for (BBQ & Sour Cream) without a problem — good selection of real ales — great parking /​good location also

Went for lunch on Saturday, really nice pub, smartly decorated, homely but classy feel to it and serving outstanding food. I had the duck, cucumber and spring onion wrap with hoi sin sauce, highly recommended, lots of meat in it! Booked in for the Mother’s Day menu on Sunday while we were there. They were very flexible in terms of food tweaking, my mum has to eat a low fat diet for medical reasons and they were very helpful in recommendations and offering to make things without sauces etc.

This in another pub just down the road from me.
Its has a lot of good beers and wines it not cheap for drinks. It has 3 hand pumps and normally has something interesting on.
Inside it is lovely and the food is very good. If you don’t fancy something how it is on the menu just ask. My Dad always gets his steak with gravy and a Yorkshire pud instead of peppercorn sauce and onion rings. Children are welcome too. Its a good place to know about if your planning a pub crawl in Stockport, a nice pub that does food.
Just a little update they have a new menu. There is a small fish and chips on it and it is the perfect size if your not in a hungry mood or just not good at eating big meals. They have also had a redecorate so its even smarter now.
