If you’re looking for a fun, affordable indoor activity, Jump Nation is a fantastic idea. It’s not exactly a spontaneous event — you have to book at least a week or two in advance as it’s so popular — but it makes a great activity for couples, groups and families.
Okay, so the vast majority of the customers are under a metre tall, but they do welcome all ages and we didn’t feel too ridiculous bouncing around on Valentine’s Day weekend. Although you do have to be on your guard to avoid kneeing a small child in the face!
As the largest indoor trampoline park in Europe, this place offers wall to wall fun — we had a great time racing from one end of the room to another, and there’s a cool air pit that you can throw yourself into too.
You can’t take your phone, wallet, keys etc into the park, but there’s lockers by the side. You also need non-​slip socks (which means ones with grips, not just the socks you think are the least slippy as we understood it to mean!), available for £1.50 at the reception.
Worth every penny and the drive out to Stretford — would thoroughly recommend!

I’ve seen various reviews of this place when I was looking for an indoor activity to do but never actually thought to do it until a friend suggested an exercise class. Since I’ve not been motivated for the gym I though why not!
I’ve got no complaints about the location as its close to my house but if I were to come from work or anywhere else it’s rubbish unless you have a car. There’s some room for parking outside for those who drive. The entrance area is small but the two people on reception at the time were fast at the queue moved quickly. You have to sign a safety waiver form on your first visit but you get a card confirming you’ve read the rules to show them if you’re planning on coming again. The 50 min long exercise class cost £7 and I did not have grippy totes socks so had to purchase some Jump Nation’s finest for a mere £1.50.
Once you’re through, there are lockers which require a pound coin (that you get back). Then you go round to the steps which lead the main part of the warehouse which was brightly lit and housed personal trampolines side by side! The lady running the class was on another set of trampolines that were on a higher level which was good, unlike normal classes where you’re moving about to watch what you’re suppose to be copying. At some points the music was a bit louder than her microphone. That’s the only ‘complain’ I have because I LOVED it! It wasn’t easy but it was so fun. I think a class might better than her going to jump around as you got to be silly with the moves. That rocketing in the air feeling is like no other. I was disappointed to be beaten by gravity after the class.
Looking around, I saw a place to eat/​have a drink and a chill out area (for parents who don’t want to jump around?). I think I’ll be coming back for another class and will bear it in mind if looking for a rainy day activity. I’ll definitely recommend it to those with kids!

I LOVE this place! I’ve been coming every now and again since it opened about a year ago for the jump fitness classes. They’re £6 a go for just under an hour and you don’t half feel it the following morning! It’s hard work but it’s fun so it feels less like a chore!
There are no changing rooms so it’s best to show up wearing your jumping gear, but if I’m coming from work I just change in the ladies loo! You also need to make sure you have non slip socks. They sell them at reception if you need them for £1.50.
No fitness class is the same really, as they have several instructors who all have their own styles, so you can mix up your work out from week to week.
If you’re not into working out on the trampolines, there are plenty of sessions for free style jumping! There are always quite a few kids around but it’s still so much fun for an adults only night/​day out!
The lockers have recently been moved so there’s much more space to store your things, the locker areas used to be really crowded but they’ve sorted that problem.

Wow! So many trampolines at all angles. I came here at 9am Saturday morning (only slot available) and it was wall to wall kids unsurprisingly. If you’re a parent with a hyperactive kid it must be a godsend.
You have to fill out a waiver as soon as you arrive so if you break your neck or whatever you can’t sue. Then you have to buy non slip socks for £1.50, unless you have your own. There’s plenty of lockers and you’re not allowed anything in your pockets including cameras. After a very quick safety talk we were finally allowed to go trampolining.
There’s so many trampolines it’s amazing and I instantly wanted to bounce about everywhere until my inner wuss reasserted itself and I stuck to one trampoline at a time. It’s so much fun just bouncing around. Or doing bounces off trampoline «walls» and multiple bounces between trampolines if you’re brave enough and fit enough. I’m not either but still enjoyed myself. You will find yourself taking multiple breaks as it’s really tiring! Even the kids were sitting down plenty.
Unfortunately about 25min into the 1 hour session I started to feel it in my back each time I landed so that slowed me down quite a lot. I still bounced on and off but it took a lot of the fun out if it. I was with a group of 30 somethings with various fitness levels and we all ended up with aches and pains either during or after. To the point painkillers were being passed round after. That’s really the only downside but it means I won’t be rushing back.

We showed up at noon at what we thought was a schoolday to find the place full of kids, which was a little surprising, but it’s very well organised and they stagger entry so you don’t have so many kids around you’re at major risk of kicking one of them in the face by accident (although keep an eye out, because you will if you’re not paying attention!).
I don’t think I saw any other adults here by themselves (which was not surprising, given it was the middle of a weekday) and overall I wouldn’t recommend it for a adults-​only outing. The trampolines are small and don’t have a great deal of bounce — my 6’4 boyfriend got a sore back pretty quickly! There was a massive queue for the foam pit so we didn’t try it. It also doesn’t have much atmosphere/​aesthetic appeal. For kids though, it’s good.

A casual friday night’s entertainment was the USP as we parked up in the Jump Nation car park. A leisurely affair perhaps a tad awkward with 4 adults jumping around amongst kids. I wasn’t that excited if I’m honest.
Little did I know I was about to have the best night in over a decade. Jump nation was SENSATIONAL!
As adults we often fall into a vicious cycle of what I like to call «fake fun».
Fake fun like… Yayyyy this barely audible small talk with a friend’s drunk acquaintance in a loud place drinking heavily overpriced below par drinks is fun!
Or yayyyy I’m dancing to this dreadful chart music just to be polite to my other half and all the people here who think it’s the best thing since sliced bread. Or yayyy that trailer I saw which made this movie look amazing but now I’ve just realised the film is actually ridiculously bad and I’ve just wasted 3 hours and £30 of my life kind of fun… You get the picture. I digress…
So when something does come along which you GENUINELY enjoy in a child like manner, it really is something else! In fact on the drive back I found myself trying to remember the last time I had such a great time. It was a long time ago is all I can say. The night was pure adrenaline fuelled unadulterated FUN FUN FUN. The kind of fun you had at school in the summer on your last day at school… Games day! The kind of fun you had the first time you went to Alton Towers. (Or I had at Alton Towers)
Michael B has covered all the bases as to what happens on the night, so I’ll skip that. What I will say is his review didn’t prepare me for how utterly exhausting it’d be. Perhaps it was my over enthusiasm but I was on the floor coughing gallons of CO2 in no time having bounced away thinking I was still 12. Luckily we’d all dressed appropriately in gym attire, which turned out to be the best decision of the night. It readily absorbed the copious amounts of sweat over the hour which God knows would’ve destroyed anything resembling casual clothing.
We’ve all seen those meaningless «inspirational» mumbo jumbo gym pics on our Facebook page. You know the before and after ones annoyingly accompanied by some condescending caption. Well I urge you to just give this a try instead of investing in one of those sham DVDs. I’m fairly certain I burnt more calories here in an hour than a month’s worth of gym sessions.
This is far better and more rewarding experience. It was so much fun that despite being exhausted and in pain, you’ll desperately wanna pick yourself up and go again. NOT because some 9 hours a day gym freak is shouting at you (army style) from the said dvd, but because you genuinely want to. Because you’re having THE time of your life. We had an hour and we wanted every minute to count. They literally had to drag us off at the end.
The trampolines take some getting used to if you haven’t been on one like me. But once you get the hang of it, merely bouncing on it aimlessly for an hour is more fun than you can imagine. They warn you not to try any tricks beyond your ability level and save it for the foam bit Michael B mentioned. But this never stopped us attempted a front flip somersault which I managed, just after some serious deliberation. For most of the hour however I was far too occupied with taking a bouncy run up before launching myself at the wall trampoline, which then propels you back! Woot wooot!
I’m definitely coming here once every week from now on for *clears throat* fitness reasons. Oh the hell with it who am I kidding, I’m coming back because I LOVED it.
In primary school we used to spend hours doing front flips at lunch break in the summer. I was always jealous of this one kid (Anthony) who could do the back flip. I always wished I could do it and had a trampoline/​bouncy castle to practice on. Now I finally CAN!

After weeks of being mithered by the youngest I took her and her friend to jump nation in streford for a birthday treat it cost £10.50 each and that price included a pair of jump nation trainer socks with grips on the bottom (£1.50 a pair, if you don’t need theirs them you don’t have to have them — but they’re a cute souvenir!) a compulsory item though if you want to bounce but if you have slipper socks at home they’re the same thing! They own the worlds tiniest car park but although Awkward when busier it does have a reasonable turnover of cars leaving and arriving due to one hour time slots on the trampolines, you can add an extra hour at time of booking for £5 of you want to but I’d recommend trying one hour first unless you have fantastic fitness levels!

There is a rules list as long as my arm all of which make sense but on the whole are not listened too by the children using the equipment which in one instance on our visit resulted one child standing on a little girls ankle– a&e visit I would imagine!
The trampolines are good fun (& exercise– don’t tell the kids) not to mention the fab foam pit that is generally used for kids & adults! Practising flips into before braving it on the trampolines or those just wanting to jump into it! I did buy the girls a «party bag» for a bargain £3.50 which is a little jump nation rucksack with various branded stationary items and bits– kids & me were happy with that!
It’s worth a visit if you’ve never been and a laugh while you’re there but unless I’m asked by the kids its not somewhere I would suggest or think of going if we were at a loose end!

Do you ever wish that you had more trampoline fun in your life? I know I do.
Jump Nation claim to have Europe’s largest indoor trampoline area, which I dismissed initially as marketing garb, until I saw the place with my own eyes.
In need of somewhere suitable to take two hyperactive nephews, when I saw a billboard advertising their opening in Trafford Park I searched for them online and booked us in for an hour’s slot (it cost £30 for three of us). When I told them we were going I got serious ‘cool points’ I tell you, it’s the current big thing to go here apparently…
Though located in an area of distribution warehouses (watch out for the articulated lorries), the centre is easy to find. It doesn’t have many parking spaces, but you can leave your car on Textilose Road.
They recommend you arrive at least 15 minutes before your time slot so that you can book in and get the rubber gripped non-​slip socks (you’re required to wear these and can keep them for next time — there’s a £1.50 charge for each pair included in the booking fee).
Free lockers are next to the ground floor café where you can leave your belongings. Once you’re ready you’re asked to queue up for the safety briefing before being let loose into the ‘arena’. I have to say the staff were excellent, professional yet with a sense of fun.
Ensue the carnage. Picture dozens of kids and a small number of hapless adults bouncing around on wall to wall trampolines. My only quibble was the number of people allowed in at one time — you really had to keep your full attention so as not to send some unfortunate seven-​year-​old catapulting into the roof space.
As well as the trampolines there’s a large foam pit where you can practice your tricks — this was the most popular area and the staff were diligently supervising.
I have to say I had way more fun in that (long and exhausting) hour than I expected, but I wish I wasn’t wearing jeans as they restrict your movement so I couldn’t be as ‘gazelle-​like’ as I wanted!
Needless to say they both want their next birthday parties here — they absolutely loved it and didn’t realise they were getting exercise: win win!
Tip: you’re allowed to take photos but only from the side of the arena (no phones or items in your pockets whilst you bounce).
Tip: you can bring your own bottled water /​soft drinks.
