Good drinks, good food and staff were very friendly. There was plenty of setting available

A standard Starbucks with regards to seating and environment. Located on the top floor of the Trafford Centre near John Lewis. At peak times you will struggle to find a seat and a clean table. Waiting for you drink will also be a challenge if you despise queues! Off peak its a good place to relax. The staff also not the most friendliest, I would pit down to the sheer throughput of customers, not ideal when you know what the general ethos of their customer service is like.

There’s two things that I really dislike; first it’s standing in a queue for a ridiculous length of time — over 15 minutes. This is bad service especial when there were nearly as many of us in the queue as there were loitering behind the counter. There seemed to be a problem with one customer and/or his order. The staff member apologised to him several times while ignoring the folk patiently waiting in the ever growing queue. Dreadful service. Then when I got to pay I had two take out salads. I said the salads were for take away and asked for a bag. I was then asked if I was sitting in. It transpires that the server had a poor level of English and the problem that took over 15 minutes to clear up arose from her misunderstanding the English language. So I said again that these were for take away. I was, by his time, in a hurry as I’d arranged to meet family at Five Guys and I was already late. So I paid with my card and left. When I eventually looked at my receipt I’d noticed that I’d been charged the sit in price so 20% greater than I should have paid. I don’t really want to pay the chancellor money that he’s not entitled to receive. This will now require a phone call to Starbucks customer line to remedy.

This Starbucks store is in the Trafford Centre and is actually quite good for the size of the Trafford centre and the demand it has. I was holding up the queue due to a problem with the staff, I wanted to get my friend the pumpkin spice loaf you get free with a Pumpkin Spice Latte, but I was told you needed a Starbucks card, I explained I had the email and simply had forgot it and asked if they could do it via my name and I explained I had the online log in but they still told me they needed the card, she told me she knew the card so it left me confused why she couldn’t do anything. In the end she told me that she could put our overall spend on a new Starbucks spend and get it via that as we had spent over the 5 pounds deposit, I was upset that she told me she still couldn’t do it after she continued to swipe the cards due to the email about the offer not being sent to that card. She could of made a note as she could tell I was a valid customer, I mentioned the offer without her informing me, I was actually reminded by the woman in-front of me doing it and she had no problem giving her the free snack. By the time I had finished, my coffee was ready, I enjoyed my Pumpkin Spice Latte and it was better than what some branches has served me in the past but due to the incident with the staff and them having nothing Gluten free apart from a brownie(Normally Stores do have Gluten Free wrap), I have to leave this store with 2 stars, I do feel that this could be taken as quite stingy but I don’t feel it deserves 3 stars, I feel it deserves 2 more than 3 and as I cant give 2 and a half stars I feel like I have to give 2.

The busiest Starbucks I’ve ever been to. Everyone in the Trafford Centre goes to this place — or so it seems? The queue will be extensive, most of the time out of the door, and the staff do try hard to speed things up by sending someone down the queue to take the orders but be prepared when you go in and half of the Trafford Centre have decided they also need a drink too. Rush hour for this place is in the evenings between 6pm-9pm. I’m going to compare this Starbucks to the Starbucks across the road next to the Asda — the drive-thru! 1) The drive-thru put a whopping great big whirl of whipped cream on your drink. This Starbucks don’t even let the whipped cream swirl touch the edges of your cup. 2) The drive-thru regularly have someone cleaning/clearing up. This Starbucks let the plates and cups mount like the leaning Tower of Pisa. 3) The drive-thru seems chilled out but the staff get things done quickly. This Starbucks seem to be on the edge of being overpowered with irritable staff. I would much rather leave my coffee fix until after I’ve finished at the Trafford Centre and drive round to the drive-thru(also a sit in) on my way home. The only reason I’m not a fan is because of how busy this place is. They need to clean up more frequently and take a deep breath.

Staff were very friendly and very quick from point of sale through to actually making the coffee/teas, the staff on the floor were also very quick at cleaning up as people were leaving.

You know what it’s like, you’re in the war zone that is the Trafford Centre, and you suddenly realize you forgot your caffeine fix before you left home? Luckily a Starbucks is just being born right where you stand, so you suck it up, apologise to the Lords of Indie addiction beverages and go for a brew. I don’t have as much of a problem with Starbucks and the other big chains as some folk do, but I will readily admit that there are way too many. I only ever buy the caramel macciato from Starbucks, and the one I had here was perfectly fine, as was the place itself. It’s pretty big, and when I was in the comfy seats were free, so that was a plus. Like most Starbucks, it was ok, which is more than can be said for the rest of the Trafford Centre experience.
