I’ve been specialising in reportage Wedding photography for nearly six years now and I’m a huge fan. It’s important to me that your photographs serve as memories, not just of what the day looked like but how it unfolded and how you felt. And from my experience the only way to capture genuine emotion is to step back and document things as they happen. Not coax, not coerce, just record.
This approach presents a real story of the day, and the resulting pictures are much the better for it. And of course, it means you don’t have to stop every five minutes and smile for the photographer! In fact, the only thing you need to remember to do is forget me and have a good time.
