Sutton Runner is the Midlands number one running specialist with the largest selection of technial running footwear, clothing and accessories in-​store and online. Established in 1990 we have built a reputation for the service and choice we offer our customers no matter what their ability or goals.

We now stock Triathlon gear including Bikes and Wetsuits and we have our very ‘Cycle Service Centre’ which is here for all your bike related needs.

Located in Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield our store is over 2500sq ft and we have our own convienent free car-​park located on the side of the store on Stonehouse Road.

History

Established in 1990.

— The Sutton Runner store opened November 1990 as our second store. Previously in 1983 we had founded the Birmingham Runner Shop before it’s sale in 1998. The store was officially opened by Derek Redmond (GB 400m Olympian and 4×4 Gold Medalist) and quickly established itself at the heart of the local Running community.

— The stores first Manager was Andrew Symmonds who represented Great Britain and came second in the New Zealand Marathon in the early 1990’s.

Founder and Company Co-​Director boasts an impressive wealth of Retail and Running experience. Dave has completed an incredible 114 Marathons over 25 years, including Athens, Paris, New York and the London Marathon a mere 18 times.
