I may have been lucky but the three or four times I have used the Uplands Post Office have been good (my last visit was this Thursday). The staff were very helpful and gave me the full choice in prices and parcel cover on the last two occasions, they offered proof of postage without my asking. I imagine they could be chatty to those they know but from my own experience a pleasant and not too long a wait in the queue.

Avoid this place if you can, unless you are absolutely desperate to post something. It is the worst Post Office I have ever been in! The people behind the counter seem to spend all their time chatting to local customers who they know, while huge queues form behind them. I don’t mind waiting for a while, but not while someone is talking at length about their operation etc! Sorry but it’s a Post Office! Not my favorite place
