History

Established in 2005.

Atlantic Fish Bar is a family-​run business, from a family that knows the ins and out of the trade, the family has been in the fish and chip trade since the 1950’s since then the children and grandchildren have all opened successful shops including The Atlantic Fish Bar.

Since opening up in 2005 there has been many changes to the shop, but, from then to now there’s been one constant, that’s quality-​assured traditional fish and chips.

Shocking to say the least!
Wednesday, 9.30pm.old Chips, Fish that tasted more like water and nothing like it was supposed to !! I have never tasted fish that does not taste like fish. quite abnormal to be honest. We spent over £17.00 and it went into the bin. I tried to call them but obviuosly they were closing the shop so didnt hang around to answer any calls incase it was the enviromental health.
Never ever agin will we buy chips from there, or indeed anything else.
Very very poor. Shabby awful food.

Excellent freshley cooked haddock with or without batter. Be early or just after 530pm queues for freshest chips. Friendly staff. Closes before last orders!!!

The Atlantic Fish Bar is probably the best fish and chip shop in Tamworth, or around for some miles.
Their batter is light and crispy, and much better than other chippies I’ve tasted. They are only open until 2pm for lunch, and then again at 6pm for dinner, so make sure you don’t leave your lunch chip run too late.
The staff are really funny here — really friendly, joking about with each other, and making the customers feel really welcome. They aren’t the most efficient fish and chippers around. There is an understanding amongst Atlantis’ customers that it may take longer to get served here than other shops, due to the silly banter and general camraderie.
The queue is always quite long, especially on a Friday night, like most similar shops. From the size of the queue, it’s easy to guess how popular this place is.
The haddock and cod are really lovely, the chips are nice and fresh, and the chicken kebabs are to die for, if dying for a kebab is your sort of thing.
I personally don’t care for the Friday night fish n chip run, but being married to an Englishman, I make my sacrifices, with the caveat that if we get fish and chips, it’s from Atlantic.

this place rocks. people actually come over from all over the country as once a month they do gluten free fish and chips. they spend the whole night before cleaning out the fryers aswell. they offer quite a wide range of stuff, and loads of sauces for kebabs. friendly staff offer jokes and jolly banter.
