Camelot Castle

Spent the worst New Years Eve in this ‘hotel’. Ears being pestered by the terrible music from a DVD of one of the owners poems (with, naturally, sales at the bar). Food was mediocre.
As the previous reviewer states, the rooms were tiny with a plastic cabin as the en-​suite.
Service was so poor. Never again

Camelot Castle is by far the best place we stayed in the United Kingdom. Located beside the mystical ruins and scenery of Tintagel Castle, staying at Camelot is a dream. Seriously, you’ll dream about the experience afterward. If you haven’t heard of Tintagel, its significance to Arthurian legend and history, look it up! Click on Camelot’s website for more info!
There is nothing more romantic than the howling Cornish wind knocking against the windows of a castle. I know what that sounds like now! The Castle overlooks the sea and the cliffs of Cornwall. Tintagel Castle and Merlin’s Cave are just across from Camelot Castle. It makes for a small, romantic hike along the rocky coast. Everything about this place is out of a storybook. I don’t have an American example to compare Camelot to… and that’s part of the magic. The U.K. is a lovely, fairy-​tale place and Camelot Castle is definitely on the «must see» list.
Camelot Castle is a home of art and music as well. The restaurant and coffee bar are divine! Arriving to a strong coffee after winding through the B roads to Tintagel is a must for the walk to Tintagel Castle and Merlin’s Cave. The owners are incredibly kind and thoughtful. During a period in my life where I needed kindness and an awesome vacation, Camelot Castle went above and beyond.

Stayed here May 2010 and from the distance it looked gorgeous against the Cornish Coast, but as you got closer it resembled a pebble dashed prop. Inside looked lovely and classic until we got to our room. A large room with hardly anything in but dated furnishings, two beds stuck together, which were very hard to sleep on, windows that didn’t open and a view of the car park, not the scenary we expected.
Then there was the en-​suiteor rather a plastic box with a toilet and shower in, had better accommodation in my student days! It was awful, you could hardly move and it was so hot in there. We complained and were offered another room but this was tiny with an old metal bed that felt like it was going collapse. So reluctantly we went back to the other and only stayed the one night.
The bar was quite busy as there was a wedding reception but after 10 minutes we gve up waiting to be served.
Wouldn’t go back here, definately not worth the money was really disappointed.
