Zizzi is a part of a chain. In terms of the selection of dishes, that should tell you all you need to know. The quality is alright, and personally, I prefer their pizza over those you can find across the street at Pizza Express. They are just larger, better and easier to slice. Now, the staff. I’m not surprised by Darryl D.‘s review(see below) — you can tell, in most cases, that the waitresses know they’re working for a chain and are hating it. Be prepared to wait before being served or to pay your bill, and don’t expect too many smiles. So why did I give this Zizzi three stars? Simply because you can’t fault it for being part of a chain. You know, when you enter, what you’ll be getting — both in terms of food and service. So, for this, it does the expected job — and if you bring a 2 for 1 voucher, it’ll be a steal :-)

This won’t take long. It may appear harsh, or you may agree. Due to the limited length I will attempt to up the entertainment value by writing it in the style of 24… The following eating experience takes place between 20:00 and 20:03 on Saturday 7th November 2009. 20:00 In we walked to Zizzi’s Twickenham. Having been to a few Zizzi’s here and there we pretty much knew the menu. The restaurant was large with alot of space. There were three couples there all along the left wall. Every other table was free including one cramped between two of the couples on the left wall. 20:01 Smily lady comes over and walks us to above mentioned cramped table. I ask if we can sit elsewhere, as the restaurant was near enough empty. The smile turns to sad face as she refuses. 20:02 We sit down and ruin the privacy of both couples around us. We Look at the menus, but both know what we are about to do. 20:03 We leave. Now you may say that giving a restaurant One Star without even trying the food is slightly harsh, however, if the staff are not willing to accommodate such a simple request(the other tables were not reserved by the way), then they don’t deserve my business. Due to being squeezed in we felt uncomfortable being there and wouldn’t have enjoyed it anyway.
