Mccolls

Having lived in my neighbourhood for many years, I have seen a lot of changes, some good, some bad.
Mc Colls is definitely a change for the worse, even though they took over from old Basil the paedophile and his big fat missus, Sue, whose face blended into the cigarette display behind her…
Anyway, that was 10 years ago…
Since they opened their doors for business, McColls have taken the piss with local shoppers. Nearly everything on their shelves is double the cost of the RRP at smaller independently owned shops.
Most of the staff, with the exception of Linda and Lucy, are downright rude, often speaking every language under the sun EXCEPT English between themselves.
The queue to get served is usually a lengthy affair and more often than not, they can’t even supply a carrier bag for your purchases.
I once went in for some cigarettes and the queue was so long, I asked for a complimentary razor as I’d grown a beard waiting around.
These bastards have a captive audience and they screw over the community they claim to serve.
I’d rather have teeth pulled than shop there and would actively encourage others to boycott the place.
I wouldn’t even rate them 1 out of 10.

Its the nearest shop to where I used to live, has a large selection but can be expensive. Sometimes gets full of kids from the school but all in all a good local shop
