This just what you want at the British seaside. A good-​value amusement arcade. There’s a great selection of fruit machines and penny-​push machines available in one half of the hall which caters mainly for the adults. The other half of the hall is devoted to more children-​friendly amusements — games of skill — like throwing balls into baskets, through holes etc. My kids love the place and constantly pester me to take them for a visit. The chidren’s machines ‘pay out’ in strips of tokens — the better you play the games the more tokens you get — these tokens can then be exchanged for prizes at the central money-​exchange booth — though beware you do need quite a few tokens before you can ‘win’ anything half-​decent. But it’s not an expensive place — a few pounds go a long way and it’s a godsend when the weather is bad. Recommended.
