Went to this pub for ‘date night’ with the missus. She had already been with her family on a recommendation from a friend of ours.
My girlfriend had ribs and I had a burger. Both were cooked excellently.
I cannot fault the staff in anyway for their service, to pull that sort of service off and still feel like a free house that has not lost its charm is amazing. Most pubs nowadays are dubbed ‘family restaurants and fail to preserve the traditional pub feel, this place nailed it!
I would definitely go back for another meal here!

I was working in the area and decided to pop in for a quick pint.
Due to friendly nature of the staff there, i ended up staying for several!
Good choice of lagers and ciders on draught and found the locals to be welcoming too.
Would definitely go back again :-)

A good large pub situated in a residential area. Nice beer garden that has recently been extended. A reasonable variety of beers at good prices. Won’t satisfy CAMRA types, but is that a bad thing?
