Relaxed and friendly service in a charming setting right by the water on Weymouth’s historic quayside. The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere complemented by delicious food, an interesting wine list and amazing cocktails to get your evening off to a flying start. We are open for dinner Monday to Saturday evening but will open for functions at lunchtime by special request. If you have any special dietary requirements then that is no problem for us as all our food is cooked to order. We look forward to welcoming you.
History
Established in 1990.
Established in 1990 by the present owners Mallams has built an enviable reputation for serving «simply good food». Always aware of trends but never slavishly following them purely for the sake of it, the food has remained true to the original concept which was to serve the best produce, treated simply, to enhance not overpower. A lot has changed over the last twenty years but the quality and value offered by Mallams remains constant. Fresh fish and shellfish are a big part of the menu but fabulous meat, poultry and game also feature.

Business Owner
Trained in the catering industry at Oxford Brookes and in Switzerland, food has always been a passion for Stephen. A career path that started in country house hotels, through to airline catering eventually led to the opening of his first restaurant in Surrey. The lure of the sea brought him to Weymouthwhere he has been for the past twenty years, still enjoying the buzz of a busy restaurant and always learning about his favourite subject — cooking.
