History

Established in 2009.

London Junk was established in August 2009. Over the last five years London junk has grown rapidly and today we are London’s fastest growing junk removal company. Our aim is to provide our customers with a superior service and to dispose of all the rubbish ethically and responsibly. We are proud to say that we are currently recycling more than 70% of the rubbish we collect and items that are in good condition are often donated to charities. We have over 10 years experience in the waste removal industry.

London junk provides a fully comprehensive service so that our customers don’t have to lift a finger. All they have to do is point out what needs to be removed and our friendly, uniformed two man team will do all the loading and complete each and every job to a very neat and tidy standard by sweeping up the area. Our staff are well trained and well experienced.

London Junk was founded by a university graduate, Harsha Rathnayake, who started working in the junk removal sector in 2004 as a part time driver while he was studying Automotive Engineering at Kingston University. In 2007 he graduated as an Automotive Engineer and enrolled at the University of Sunderland to study for his MBA while he was still working as a part time driver for the junk removal company.

In August 2009 on completion of his MBA, he formed his own junk removal company naming it LONDON JUNK. Hash has always been passionate about helping others and the idea of setting up this company was to help both commercial and residential clients to get rid of any kind of waste that is too large to fit in their regular bins.
