The Corfe Mullen branch of Harlees is possibly the best chip shop I have bought chips from. There is a typical and traditional range of dishes to accompany your chips, from cod to pea fritters or sausages to veggie burgers. Everything is freshly cooked, and cooked to perfection too. You do often get the typical unenthusiastic teenage member of staff as you would expect from a chip shop but on the whole, the service is excellent. The prices are slightly higher then many chip shops, but the food is well worth the little bit extra, especially as the portions are very generous.

My parents started me visiting this fish and chip shop. They always pop in and tell me how nice they are so when I first tried them for myself I was hooked and pop in often. Harlees are based at the bottom of a hill by some traffic lights just on the outskirts of town. They are always pleased to see their customers, and we are always greeted with a smile. The prices of the food are reasonable and average compared to other chip shops in the area, so you know you are getting value for money here. I always find the portion sizes to be huge and I can never finish a standard portion of cod and chips. The menu is standard to most chip shops, you wont find anything out of the ordinary on the menu, but there is a good selection as well. It’s my chip shop of choice.
