Windsor & Eton Central Railway Station

Nice little train station but the train only goes to one place — Slough. From there you can change and go to London and in the other direction Reading and I’m guessing some other places.
This appeared to once be a pretty big train station but now it is full of restaurants and cafes. There is also a replica of an old train, one that I think used to bring Queen Victoria to Windsor, where there is a castle that is where the royal family often stays.

Love windsor. Station in great location and can go straight into shops without going outside. Wish was a better line to Reading though

This is a tiny station that seems to only have one train that runs back and forth to Slough which is a brief ride away. The main purpose of the train seems to be transporting tourists from London to Windsor Castle which is a short walk away. The connections in Slough are very short but trains seem to run frequently so you won’t have a long wait before you catch the next train.

Not to be confused with Windsor’s Riverside Station, Windsor Central Rail Station is at the end of a short run from Slough and is served by First Great Western. Not exactly the busiest station, there are a few benches and no ticket barricades. It is in a great location with lots of coffee shops and restaurants very close. Trains are common enough unless it’s raining.
Bring patience. This is a major tourist destination and many do not understand the train procedures, i.e., let people off first before trying to board.
