History

Established in 2008.

Asiana was set up by husband & wife team, Siraj & Sofia Ahmed who have a passion for serving delicious Indian food with traditional home style cooking methods & blend of spices for the Western palette. So in July 2007 we acquired the premises & entended the property to create a dinning room with capacity of 60 covers. It took 9 months to complete the project which also required to build a kitchen & toilet facilities & storage. Finally Asiana Restaurant launched on 17^th April 2008. Although it took a long time to set up the restaurant, complications were overcome with determination & commitment to succeed in our new venture.

Manager

Although, Sofia had a Financial Services background she left in 2003 to raise her two children. In 2007 she decided to share her first passion — food with others & she founded Asiana Restaurant from conception to launch with husband, Siraj. Sofia has grown up in a large family who have been running restaurants since she was young. Her brothers own several successful restaurants in Surrey. Sofia learnt most of her cooking from her mother who loved to cook & entertain her family. As a young girl Sofia picked up traditional hospitality tips from her mother, who cooks the most delicious food. Asian family meals are full of taste & colourful & very appealing in presentation. Meal times bring the ancient tradition of sharing & enjoying family life. This is a fine dinning restaurant where Sofia & Siraj take pride in getting to know their customers.
