Sport pub, if you’re into that sort of thing.
On the up side: Super friendly service, cheap (at least during the day on a Sunday), with 4 cask ales and 2 cask ciders, and decent ones at that. And clean loos.
On the down side, it’s full of drunken football fans shouting at the telly, which ruined the vibe.
All in all: grand.

This is an old style town pub. Form the outside it doesn’t seem to be too inviting, being on the corner of a busy road junction, but it is worth a look. I would recomend this pub to professional couples who are looking for a place to have a drink before or after they have a meal at one of the multitude of restaurants to be found nearby. I like this place and visit often and I’m always glad that did, rather than going further into town and having mix with heaving masses desperately searching for somewhere nice to go.
