Marks & Spencer’s Simply Food

This M&S is ok but it’s small and gets really busy sometimes. They sell food and drink including ready meals, alcohol, fruit, veg, tins and jars, confectionery, cakes, bread, dairy, and then things like sandwiches and pasta salads if you just go in to grab lunch. The food is normally nice but quite expensive.

Having mentioned Marks and Spencers simply food here on qype I thought I better take a stroll round Monks Cross to the other Marks and Spencer store, and this one is good old fashioned. er fashion?!
Well Fashion isn’t really the word I would use for M&S as some of the clobber seems to be a bit dated. Their newish range, per una seemed to promise a lot when it first came out but so far I’ve never found much appealing in their clothes.
Good old M&S are still one of the best stores to get your underwear though ladies (and gents ;o) and they still offer a fitting service, which we all know is extreemly important!
During the festive season, the store has quite a number of gifts — something for everyone and they have a 3 for 2 deal which is always handy when you’re feeling the pinch at Christmas! So it’s definitely worth a look!
So for your basics, vests, undies, bras, pj’s — M&S is great
Oh and last but not least, the coffee shop! tucked away in the corner but the smell of coffee wafts around the store so you should find it easily — nice coffee. but sadly I think, a little over priced
