Excellent bakery/café! We were in town for a day and decided to pop in. We had the special of hot ham and cheese and chowder soup — the BEST! Couldn’t stop making yummy sounds! We followed it up with pumpkin bread pudding which was to die for! Worth stopping in if your in town!

Great owner and very pleasant people working. Good location and atmosphere with lots of home décor items to buy while you are waiting for your food. Delicious salads– Cobb is my favorite. AMAZING scones, and cinnamon rolls that fill a small takeout box. Free wifi.

If you’re in Abilene for breakfast get the Dutchess, if you’re still hungry have the lemon-almond scone. Excellent coffee and wifi too!

Amanda’s was a joy to find on a road trip across Kansas. There don’t seem to be many breakfast places around, so this was a real gem! You’ll wait a few extra minutes for your food, but everything is homemade so it’s all good. There was free wifi(excellent!) and everyone was super friendly. The prices are incredible… Our bagel breakfast sandwiches(get one!) were around $ 4 – 5 and included a free to-go coffee, our choice of the size! I definitely recommend this if you are passing through Kansas — it’s worth the trip off the highway.

Amanda’s has excellent baked goods, quality coffee and free wi-fi. The light music and variety if seating made it the perfect place to work, relax or gather with friends. I will be back.

This is a little gem of a place. It took a few minutes to get our sandwiches, but that’s what happens when they are assembled on the spot! Besides, I was so entertained looking around at the various items for sale(jewelry, antiques, kick-knacks, and more) that I really didn’t notice. Food was tasty, refills on coffee/tea available, and friendly staff. We will be back often.

I love this place! They make the best sandwiches. And you have to try their baked goods. The gooey bars are to die for! It’s a small cozy atmosphere in the back of the bookstore(I hear they’re going to move soon to a bigger place) so there’s not a lot of seating yet but the place has some charm. They make specialty coffees too, but I don’t drink coffee so I haven’t tried it. I’ve heard its really good though. They also serve breakfasts but I haven’t been down there that early, I normally go for the lunches, which are delicious.
