7÷9÷2015: Last night Chris sent me a quote. The quote was fair(but not itemized as requested) and he even offered a discount for my troubles. Kudos to Chris for trying to make things right, however the experience just does not make me comfortable using them for the work I need done. I hope they work out their scheduling and personnel issues, but I cannot recommend them at this time. — — — — — — — - 7÷7÷2015: It has now been 1 week since Alan(the tech) came out. It’s too bad NOBODYHASCONTACTEDMEORGOTTENME A QUOTETHAT I’VEREQUESTED. I’m sorry, but this is terrible customer service. I cannot recommend these guys, and they should be ashamed of letting the ball drop twice now. — — — — — — — - Keeping this at 2 stars for now. After calling me to request they can come out again, they call me 5 minutes AFTER the appointment to tell me they are going to be late and that the tech is on the way. He arrive 8 minutes late… which is better than the no-call/no-show last time, but that’s a low bar to step over. To prepare for this, I wrote up and printed a detailed list of what I wanted looked at/cost estimates for. I knew there are a few problem areas and I wanted to be sure we could cover them quickly and efficiently without any miscommunication. I’m so glad I did this. Alan was my tech and he was courteous and professional and knowledgeable. I liked Alan. That said, since English was not his native language, I had to translate a few things for him. I liked what he was suggesting, but my concerns are: 1. Price. What am I looking at cost-wise. He was not able to tell me anything and that’s fine. I totally get that an estimate can take time, but I’m trying to budget for these updates so a little information would have been better than«The company will tell you». 2. Permitting. I cannot tell if this will require a permit and it was not a question I asked. I didn’t want to extend the visit since it took 45 minutes already. 3. How quickly can the work be done? Alan said likely it would take 8 – 10 hours… my concern is that I don’t want to go a night without power at my home(girlfriend and pet would likely leave me if this were the case). So far, I’m still skeptical, but I want to see how the estimates come in before I make any decisions.
