This does not even deserve one star what so ever, but I had to select one. I DONOT recommend coming to this location what so ever. The service is horrible to begin with. Food is not the best and then when I got my bill at the end of the night it was way over priced. Just had a few drinks and some food. Come to find out he next day they put someone else’s drinks on my tab without asking me if they could be on my tab. They took that persons word over mine. So rude! Once again I DONOT recommend coming here unless you want to be over charged and pay other people’s drinks.

You would think that the owner of a small town community restaurant would have more pride in the food that he serves. I guess he does not think much of his community. I would be embarrassed.

I came here since I was on a site visit which was close by. They serve complimentary chops and salsa. The salsa was a little spicy but good. The chips were however not good. They tasted of some raw oil and were a big let down. I ordered garden vegetable sandwich which was just okay nothing was impressive or too bad. Bun was okay, cabbage was not the freshest neither was the patty. It’s an okay place the hostess was however very polite and welcoming. It’s a good place to get some beer and snacks however I wouldn’t say the same for dining. Overall a pretty okay dining experience.

I can only speak of the Sunday buffet and the ambience. One of those is really bad and the other one«strange». On second thought, they were both a little strange. From the outside it looks like it would be a great little cowboy style diner with good food. Then, you walk into the Twilight Zone. Fancy tables, dimly lit, fancy glasses on the tables. Doesn’t match the exterior, weird. I’m not complaining because it was very clean and nice, I just think they have their priorities in the wrong place. Maybe, they could spend their money on the food/cooking aspect. I’ve heard other restaurants have tried that insane line of thinking and done quite well. Those damn progressive thinkers are taking over the world. If you have fantastic food you can nail a couple of 2×4’s together in the parking lot to serve the food on and have a line around the block. Guess I have to get to the food, was hoping not to dredge up that nightmare. Your stomach will be much more satisfied if you don’t remove the stainless steel covers from the food that was prepared only two days ago. The bacon, I think, looks good until you pick it up with the tongs. That’s when you realize things are going downhill fast and there’s no turning back. It’s rubber!!! Stick one piece in your mouth and you get to chew on it all day. What a great deal, not really at $ 12.95 for the buffet. You won’t need an escort to guide you through the never ending buffet since it actually ends a few items down the table. The biscuits and gravy, I think, has to be better. Some nice, hot and fresh biscuits and that cowboy style gravy. Tasty. Unfortunately, you get none of that. The only person who loves the biscuits is the local dentist, all the business he gets from fixing broken teeth just bought him a vacation home in Hawaii. I think I’m trying to say the biscuits were a little on the hard side. I’ve blocked out the rest of the food from my memory. Who says miracles don’t happen anymore? My wife ordered a margarita, I think. Aren’t margaritas suppose to have some kind of alcohol in them? Not here. Took a sip, nothing but bottled sour mix. Guess they spend all their money on the food. Anyway, go to this place if you like restaurants that look like a cowboy diner on the outside, a slightly fancy restaurant on the inside, have food cooked on a day other than the day you’re there, want to pay way too much and like adult beverages without alcohol.

Worse restaurant in acton. Waitresses are rude and slow. Will never even step inside again after the last bad experience.

Was not impressed at all. Over priced for food and the drinks stopped by for happy hour and felt I was extremely over charged. Not happy with the service at all. The bartender was nice but food was bad and undercooked. Our waitress was cold and unfriendly. Will never return again and would not recommend. Completely unsatisfied.

Came here on a Tuesday. It was not crowded but it wasn’t empty. Sat next to the owner and didn’t even know. I made small talk but continued my rants about the Dodgers game with my bf and bartender. It was great! The micheladas were okay. I came here just for that.

Tommy the owner of Canyon Motors gets repetitive business due to the fact that he has reasonable prices, honest and does good work, that’s the only reason I have been taking my vehicles there for the past 20 years .His co– worker that works with him currently is just as good if not better as the previous mechanic who now has a shop next door, but keep in mind he collects disability and has no business license, but Hey… IFYOUWANTTOPLAYDARTSGOTOARTWITH A & S or your local bar !!!

The service and atmosphere was good. Unfortunately I can’t say the same thing to the food. Brunch there is not that great. Some food at the buffet wasn’t appealing and looks tacky when they use a booth table as part of the brunch dessert table. I had high hopes for this place and only got disappointment.

Pretty decent place to come for food and drinks! My boyfriend, my parents and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night around 6pm while we were camping at the local campground. They weren’t busy at all at this time and we were seated withing seconds of walking in. Since Acton is a small town of about 7k residents, they don’t have many food places, and the ones they have seem to have a mix of food choices. 49ER Bar and Grill is obviously known for their Mexican Food since they have a big menu with all their Mexican dishes on it. They also have another, smaller, menu that has items such as steak and seafood on it. I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito($ 14). It was SOGOOD. And also so big. I ate half at dinner and ate the rest for lunch the next day. The meat was cooked just right and they added the right amount of sauces and cheese to it. Drool in your mouth worthy. The dish also came with beans and rice, which were both good, but you can’t really go wrong with those items. My dad ordered the Fijita Plate(he loved!). Both my mom and boyfriend ordered the Steak dish. My boyfriend said his was perfect, but my mom couldn’t eat hers since it was so chewy and basically inedible. She had to send her dish back, and she ordered a Carne Asada Burrito instead. She ended up loving the Burrito. The service was excellent — they just wanted to make sure we were having a good time! Love it! This restaurant is also attached to a bar… which was crowded the whole time we were there. I heard they do karaōke here after like 8pm. Sounds fun! Overall, I had a good experience at 49ER Bar and Grill. I’d come back here again if I do camp out at the campgrounds near by. Cheers!

My review is in regards to the Sunday buffet. I wanted to love this place. I really and truly did. I thought the feel of the place was great, our waitress was super sweet and attentive, and the buffet spread looked impressive. Important word here… LOOKED. I’m pretty easy to please when it comes to food but this buffet was so sad and lacking in flavor that I just can’t give more than two stars. I tried brekafast staples, an enchilada, biscuit & gravy… nothing tempted me to think«I’d like to try this place again!», sadly. I was actually really sadded about the biscuit & gravy because that’s one of my all-time favorite foods and the gravy was just soup de flour. It was strangely sweet and just… ugh. Literally, the worst gravy I’ve ever had the displeasure of experiencing. This did seem like my kind of place in that there were people hunkered down at the bar and drinking beers with their 10AM breakfasts, so, there’s that. Maybe one of these days I’ll give them a second shot for the regular menu items/bar, but my 2 star remains for the buffet.

One of the BEST chicken taco’s I’ve ever tasted! Love how they broil the top of the cheese on the refried beans. We had a new server and she did her best. Met a nice older local lady that chatted our ears off but we enjoyed every moment. Very fresh iced tea, crispy thin tortilla chips and delicious salsa. We really enjoyed sitting out on the patio which is dog friendly, by the way. Pretty tempted to try out their Sunday brunch tomorrow! Love these small town finds!

Stop by Wednesday for taco’s — $ 1 tacos — can’t beat that. Rita, the bartender made the most amazing delicious Cadillac margaritas! We sat out on the patio on this warm evening. Fun, great place!

Met some friends for dinner-they go here fairly regularly. We opted to sit outside as it was a beautiful evening. The chairs and table were very dirty so beware before you sit. The beans, chips and salsa were excellent. Happy hour margarita a little watered down. The food was good and there was plenty of it. Had the chicken burrito and friend had the ribs which smelled delicious. Service was good-prompt refills. Bathrooms a little dicey as they are right near the kitchen/bar area and that’s where you wait if there’s a line. Karaōke was starting but the only one participating was the man who brought the equipment. All in all it was a nice new experience and I might go back occasionally

49er has provided consistent good times. This review is more directed for the Bar scene than the food. Karaōke nights can be a blast. The biggest thing is that the crowd can be really hit and miss. One Friday it can be slammed with the local country crowd… The next, a ghost town! I definitely make a point to stop by every once in a while for a good time. Drinks are cheap and the bartenders are good. It’s more an older crowd, 30+, so don’t go expecting to find a 21 year old fling. =) For food, I’ve really only had the few items you can’t mess up… I.E. Grilled cheese, burger, etc. I remember getting a stuffed baked potato and not being too impressed. The juke box is always available in the bar. Don’t expect it to be blasting. But they’ll keep it at a decent volume if you request. I just went in yesterday, and it looks like there is a new partial owner of the business. They are definitely making some changes. They now offer chips & salsa to everyone while at the same time adding a mexican food portion to the menu. They also added draft beer.(Coors Light and Shock Top). All in all, a good low key place for during the week to have a beer. For Friday Karaōke, expect a great time but have an alternative if the place is empty!
