Meet the Business Owner

Erich F. Kronenwett, DMD K.

Business Owner

Dr. Kronenwett was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from The University of Rhode Island. He continued his studies at Tufts School of Dental Medicine where, upon graduation, he was presented with the Complete Prosthesis Prize for excellence in prosthetics. He then went on to complete his general practice residency at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire.

He is dedicated to learning the most advanced dental treatments available and has continued his education with postdoctoral continuing education at Tufts Dental School, Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry, and the Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.

A member of Acton Dental Associates since 1992, Dr. Kronenwett has brought his expertise in prosthetic dentistry and cosmetic dentistry to our family of patients. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

I’ve been coming here since I grew teeth I could brush (approx. 22 – 23 years). Every hygienist and dentist I’ve seen has been knowledgeable and compassionate. A couple hygienists clean your teeth/​gums more rigorously, but every cleaning I’ve received has been more than satisfactory. The facility is clean and the appointments are always on time. The dental assistants make you feel comfortable during procedures, and the dentists keep you fully informed of what they’re doing throughout procedures.

It’s a great family practice, recently I had to have some filling done and was pretty nervous about it! Dr. Kronenwett and Melanie were great! I left feeling less nervous about my future dental needs!

I have been a patient of Dr. Kronenwetts since 1998. My first experience with any crowns on my teeth were on my front teeth, which I was very nervous about. He did an amazing job and the color match to my other teeth was perfect. No one can even tell that two of my front teeth are crowns and they look so natural! He has taken such great care of myself and my family and his support staff has always made us feel welcome and comfortable. I would recommend this office to my friends, family and neighbors.

At 72 years of age, I think I’ve had every dental procedure known to humans. I’ve also had many dentists. When I first visited Acton Dental, I saw Dr. Ogrodnick, who reassured me that I did not need dentures at that time. He could work out a treatment plan that involved an implant and a separate crown. I was reassured by his kindness, his professionalism, and his gentle hands. When Dr. O retired, I was worried, but my worries were baseless. I have been seeing Dr. Block for the past year plus, and he too has been kind, professional, and skilled. (He also has gentle hands). Two days ago, I had oral surgery, and I was dreading the long dental visit that had been scheduled for today. I thought, «This is gonna hurt.» It did not. Not only wasn’t it awful, but I left feeling really lucky to have such a good dental practice so close.

I think this practice has really gone downhill since Dr. Ogrodnick retired. I have been getting my teeth cleaned here for 20 years. Scheduling is extremely difficult, especially difficult to get early morning slots. During my last visit, I had to wait 20 minutes before the hygienist was ready for me. I know that it’s their job to tell you to brush and floss more, but I feel like I was treated in a rude and demeaning way. I will not return to this practice.

I’ve been coming to Acton Dental Associates for a few years, and it is always a good experience. From cleanings, to fillings, to a short notice emergency visit, the staff is always great. Dr. Kronenwett is very knowledgeable and helpful, and definitely contributes to making Acton Dental Associates the best dental office I have been to.

Let me start this off by saying that I have an innate fear of the dentist. I’ve never had a truly bad experience, but always leave feeling as though I’ve been scolded or reprimanded for not having perfect oral hygiene. Needless to say, I was not happy to have to try out a new dentist when I moved to Acton.
I went to Acton Dental Associates because my fiancé has been there and said great things about it. I was able to get an 8:00 a.m. appointment (before work!) the following week, which was great. They mailed me my paperwork ahead of time, so I showed up with it all filled out and didn’t have to wait. When I walked in, the receptionists were both very warm and welcoming. I waited less than 2 minutes to be seen.
My hygienist, Susan, was lovely. Since it was my first time at the office, she took some time to chat with me about the practice itself before we got started. She also told me everything they would be doing today and gave me an opportunity to ask some questions and get comfortable before we began. Throughout the appointment, she was informative and helpful and, honestly, just NICE.
When Dr. Ogrodnick, (the dentist) came in, he shook my hand and chatted with me for a few minutes before he inspected my teeth. He took the time to know ahead of time who had referred me and commented on a conversation he and my fiancé had the last time he was in. He put me at ease — it is clear he is personable, loves what he does, and is very knowledgeable.
The entire office was run professionally and everyone was truly warm and kind. I felt encouraged, not reprimanded, when I left. I also appreciate very much that they take into account cosmetic dentistry as well as the technical aspects. Dr. Ogrodnick will go the extra mile to truly understand the best procedure for fixing any problems, as opposed to what’s quickest or easiest, in order to give you the healthiest and most visually appealing teeth possible. I can say with confidence that I will be going to this dentist for a very long time.
