Specialties
In Hand Acupuncture and Herbs is a clinic in Acton, MA., where we practice acupuncture, Herbs and multiple methods in the tradition of Chinese medicine.
We believe in the body has its own way of healing. Sometimes, because of blockage of the body’s energy (called Qi), the body loses this natural ability. Like a gardener who waters and provides a suitable environment for plants, Jonathan Fang helps the body to cure itself. When the body has regained its natural function, there is no need for further assistance.
Life is about balance. Health depends on being in balance. In Hand Acupuncture and Herbs uses ancient techniques to regain balance and support the body in healing.
Jonathan (Huan-Wen) Fang, Acupuncturist, is a second generation Chinese medicine practitioner who has been licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine since 2004.
History
Established in 2014.
In Hand Acupuncture and Herbs is directed by a second generation practitioner of Chinese Medicine, Jonathan (Huan Wen) Fang.
The Chinese name of our clinic is Yin Han Tang, and «Yin Han» is the name of Jonathan’s grandfather, who was an experienced and compassionate traditional Chinese Medicine physician in Taiwan.
«Yin» also means silver in Chinese. In our clinic we mostly use stainless steel needles, but some needles are silver and even gold.
The word «Han» means Chinese. Chinese people believe they are the descendants of Han. In Chinese history, there were many times that different races merged into a stronger race, and each time they all called themselves Han.
«Tang» means Clinic.
In the essence of Chinese medicine, herbal formulas and acupuncture treatments work together as a team, which makes the healing complete. With their combined effort they bring out the best healing energy of the body, which increases the effect and decreases the side effects
