Shannon Hegarty, DC

Dr. Hegarty is a lifesaver. I was in pretty awful shape after putting my body through years of abuse as a swimmer, swimming pool service tech, and law student. I was killing my body and posture in almost every way imaginable. After seeing Doc a few times she was able to help get me back into alignment. If I was a better patient and followed her after-​care instructions better I would be much better off as well. She is also very willing to treat specific ailments as well. I had a few injuries caused by stupidity and stubbornness that she was able to treat very quickly. I won’t lie, the first time I got an adjustment it was very scary, but when the pain is alleviated almost instantaneously the fear goes with it. I give my full endorsement to Dr. Hegarty and trust her implicitly.

Initially, I started seeing Dr Hegarty for back pain from working a desk job, and she helped me immensely. When I became pregnant, it was great to find out that she also specialized in this area! She has been able to help me with sciatic related pain in both my legs and feet as a result of the pregnancy, neither of which I realized a chiropractor could even help with before speaking to her about my aches and pains. Additionally, she has been able to advise me on stretches and provide insight as to what to expect as the pregnancy progresses and how she can help me should those issues arise. She immediately made me feel comfortable on my first visit after I was initially skeptical of what chiropractic could do for me, and has an approach that made me feel very relaxed throughout my adjustments. I would recommend her highly!

I was always hesitate to go to a chiropractor but as an athlete I had constant neck and back pain to the point where I could not even lean my head all of the way back or turn it around. Dr. Hegarty readjusted my neck in a few minutes and did her magic on my back and I have not had a problem since. My running and stamina have actually improved due to the lack of pain. I highly recommend!

I’ve been to chiropractors occassionally over the years but haven’t been regularly. I’ve found Dr. Hegarty to be great — she’s helped with moments of pain with back/​neck adjustments that have cropped up after far too many hours flying cross country and the surprise which I never expected, she helped ease tightness in my wrist and hands with adjustments to the bones in my hands… I never even thought of that as an issue to raise with a chiropractor. She’s smart, really easy to talk with and a great chiropractor — highly recommend her!

I went to Dr. Hegarty after a car accident. I was looking sideways when my car was rear ended and felt terrible. After she ascertained what was wrong she adjusted me. After her first adjustment I felt much better, after the second one even better. I strongly suggest her services.

I ended up seeing Dr. Hegarty for round ligament pain around 4 months into my pregnancy. Honestly, I didn’t even realize that a chiropractor could help with anything like that. The relief was instantaneous and lasting. She had great advice for stretches I could do throughout the remainder of my pregnancy to help with the round ligament pain, and let me know of other treatments she could provide that would help with any other issues which may arise throughout the remainder of the 9 months.
Dr. Hegarty is a true professional, making you feel immediately relaxed and like you are chatting with a good friend. She walks you through everything she will be doing so there are no surprises, which is especially good if you are a newbie to chiropractic work. I confidently recommend her, especially for pregnancy pains!

Dr. Hegarty is a great chiropractor! I have struggled with back and hip pain almost my entire adult life and Dr. Hegarty has been able to help me get control of my pain. It’s not just the actual adjustments, she has some great suggestions on little ways to change the way I move about my day to keep me pain free. She has even adjusted my jaw so that my bite is aligned! I have been to many chiropractors in the past, but Dr. Hegarty is by far the best.
