TC Lando’s Sub & Pizzeria

I just moved to Boston area a few months ago and after trying a lot of cheese steak sandwiches, this one was the best one yet! It was truly satisfying! Great job!

Oh your God! By far best cheese stake sandwich I’ve had in a long time!!! I moved here from CA and been looking to find something as good as cheese steak shop, to no avail… And then, bam, this place! I am in deed a repeat customer.
Very friendly people.

Been meaning to write this for a while. This place used to be good — maybe even great. Wonderful steak & cheese subs, wonderful pastrami & nice atmosphere. Then workers started getting rude and behaving so imposed upon. The sandwiches starting going down hill — way too greasy and the prices went up. Then twice within about a 6 – 7 month period I got sick from their pastrami subs. When I say sick — I mean nausea, vomiting & running to bathroom for hours. So, to recap: rude employees & sub-​par, overpriced food. Yeah, I’ll pass.

Rude.Rude.Rude. Why would I want to give my money to people who don’t value their customers?

I was working in the area and stubbled across this place after my visit at dunkins… I couldn’t believe the over sized menu to read. the Women behind the counter was very attentive and helpful on the most popular items. after naming off a few she said what’s popular I decided to go with the BUDSTUDER… it was the best combo sub I’ve had. size, favor and fulfillment.def. be back again !!!

Consistent take out food at all of the locations. Good steak quesadilla.

We drove all the way from the very far north shore — Saugus area — to grab subs here based on an internet search that revealed that they were open until 10 PM.
We arrived probably close to 9:25 PM.
Upon entering, the staff was cleaning up and told us they were closing and we could only order cold subs if anything at all.
Cold subs! No thanks!
I guess the confusion and disappointment was written all over my face.
I told them that according to Google, they list the restaurant open until 10 PM and perhaps someone should look into changing that. The tidbit of info seemed to be news to the woman behind the counter. She said she would let the owner know. She never once just admitted that yes they are open until 10 PM — she acted like it was a big surprise. I also said that we traveled like across Massachusetts to get here. She did seem to feel bad, maybe because she knew that she was pulling our legs.
She did go out of her way to offer us two coupons for the next visit. That was very nice, but now we are in the middle of nowhere where the sidewalks roll up at well, 9:30 PM ish.
A few months later, we came back with our coupons and I took note this time of the times on the front window which read 10 PM.
I absolutely now know what happened that night. The woman and her crew wanted out early which is ok. At least be honest about it.

First i need to say i never write reviews, but couldn’t resist. I used to come here 10+ yrs ago, subs were always great, huge portions, reasonably priced.
I got a large turkey sub w/​bacon & cheese. It was $ 14.25! Bacon was a soggy /​greasy mess and added zero flavor. I didn’t even know that was possible?!?
The real reason for my review is the woman behind the counter was the most miserable person I think I’ve EVER seen in this type of business. It was almost comical. People were just shaking their heads and didn’t know whether to laugh or be scared. I really wanted to say something but pretty sure she’d go beast mode on me (literally and figuratively speaking)
Meanwhile the owner’s sitting in the corner doing his own thing, and could care less. 7 – 8 ppl walked in and she starts screaming to him to help. I truly feel sorry for her, actually i don’t and will will forget she even exists once i drive out of the parking lot. I don’t live in the area anymore and will be certain to never return. I’m going to eat my sub which I’ll rate a ⁶⁄₁₀ and go back to living my happy life.

Rude to the point that I will never go back. I tried again, and the woman answering phones was the last straw. I picked up my order and got a snotty «what!?» as I approached the counter. Plenty of other nearby local options.

They suck… Everytime my order is screwed up. Never again.

If the TV commercials with tits and ass aren’t enough, the employees are rude (including the dude from the commercial) and make you feel like you’re bothering them. No one going in to a sub shop needs to be coddled, but the level of scorn is horrifying. I am so sorry for wanting a sandwich. Please forgive me.

This is a high volume sub shop with good reason. Their food is good. The steak and cheese is tasty, as is the version made with chicken (name forgotten).

Not great quality and there really wasn’t that much food in the sandwiches. My kid’s sub didn’t have the correct comdiments.

Significantly raise your prices and not update your menu online??? Who does that?
It’s a good thing that the subs were oversized and tasty. If you are wanting a small sub, you better order a «mini».
3 subs (2 small and 1 large) ran us about $ 30!!! I’m sorry, but that is too much for a local sub shop.

Their ‘Budster’ sandwich is pretty yummy if you love barbecue. Really not much for seating there (maybe 4 seats?). Haven’t branched out into other menu items yet. I will say they lose two stars because at least one of the individuals that talks with customers while ordering/​picking up always seems like they hate everyone and everything. Really takes the experience down a notch. But at the same time there are others who have been incredibly friendly.

I’ve been here a few times. Best to call in and order ahead. A regular mushroom steak cheese sub does it for me. I see people in prior reviews complaining about people being rude, I’ve never encountered that. But think about it, do you care about the ‘rudeness’ if the food taste good or great? Yeah get over it (hopefully I don’t have to update my review the next time I go there HAHA).

My family got some pizzas from here.
I got a gluten-​free pizza, which I’m not entirely sure was actually gluten-​free. We were assured it was, but the receipt claims low-​carb… Either way, the edges were burnt and the middle raw. Nasty.
Everyone else got normal pizzas. Our pineapple pizza came with tomato chunks on it, which while not the end of the world, isn’t what we ordered. Everything was greasy.

Gigantic salad with tons of grilled chicken and steak and cheese for 19 bucks seemed decent. Chicken could have had more flavor. Homemade dressing is very good. Steak and cheese was a little bland. Light on the cheese. Chunks of tomato were awkward. Nice staff.

Literally the worst 2 subs I’ve ever had. Steak and cheese was like ground hamburger in a sub roll. The «budster» had some of the worst quality chicken I’ve had. To top it off, high prices and terrible service. Terrible business… Good luck.

Pros: GREAT steak subs grinded steak that has a hamburger consistency
Unique subs/​salads you won’t find elsehwhere!
Cons:
HORRIBLE service… Rude kids likely brought up in the ghetto NO manners AT ALL everything is fine… dude man… k…whatever. Seriously get some non asshole help please.
Prices: Some of the highest pricing i have seen for Pizza/​Subs within 50 miles in any direction… crazy CRAZY high.
Bread: The bread they use can get soggy fast if you don’t eat it quickly.
I’ll try once more soon but if the service is THIS rude again i’m done good subs or not.
