Stopped in American to pick up some provisions for a trip to Mexico and was so impressed by the customer service! Asking if they had or sold any bubble wrap to secure a bottle(or 2) in my luggage, the gentleman went a step further and found canisters to protect both bottles. Deep selection and clean facilities to boot. Will definitely return!

This place is hands down the best liquor store in this area. The have a huge variety of brands and different products within that brand. They always have great deals going on as well. The selection is great but the staff is the best. They are always so helpful and personable and make your business feel appreciated!

If you’re looking for something well know say Titos, Shiner Bock, or basic wines… you won’t find their prices. They seem to deliberately keep prices 1 – 2 dollars lower than others on Inwood Ave to keep their customer base. True, there might be a few things a 1 – 2 higher, but it won’t be the norm. Happy staff and good prices means I’ll keep going back!

This has become our go-to place for liquor in Addison. They are not going to have a massive selection or offer everything imaginable. They are not glossy and super concerned about presentation. They do, however, have quality spirits at excellent prices. I’ve been in there before when they were offerings samples too. The staff is knowledgeable and casual and friendly. Since they are rarely too busy, the staff is able to walk around and offer advice. They aren’t afraid to speak their mind either, as I’ve been cautioned away from«cheap crap» that they offer. They aren’t afraid to tell you that something inexpensive is quality, either — several times they’ve steered me away from more expensive offerings because the less-expensive one is just as good, in their view. Sounds like they and their staff have sampled a large portion of their selection. Their prices are about the best I’ve seen, and I also always love browsing their selection of 50ml bottles at the front — they rotate a lot, and for $ 1 you can sample something new. They even gave me one for free once so I could sample something completely new… I ended up buying a bottle! In here they know trends and what’s becoming popular, and they can steer you that direction.

After stopping in at Sigel’s for a Scotch tasting(and noting Sigel’s remarkably higher prices), I decided to stop in at any of the other six liquor stores connected to the parking lot. You see, I like to play Sherlock Holmes and investigate the specialty cases and selections, just hoping to trip into something special. I’m regularly disappointed in what people consider ‘Special’ or ‘Rare’ in these cases, and this day was no different. That is until, as luck always has it, I went to my final stop, American Spirits Beverage. Initially, its a liquor store. Bright, clean, and with the brand logos and end caps that you see at most stores. I began walked the rows looking for the whiskey and bourbon, and found a reserved row of quality selections. No emphasis on having every designer bottle of honey and cherry flavored whiskey taking up shelf space from the good stuff. Only quality labels, no riff-raff, and to my allure, a solid showing of ryes. You don’t get that at a lot of places, heck, most places for that matter. Eric and David were awesome! Super friendly, very knowledgeable(can’t tell you how many times I ask a store employee a question about a product’s location or for a suggestion, and they have no idea what they are talking about), and most particularly, helpful. I failed to notice the special case in the back, and OMG folks, it actually had unique stuff in it. Eric showed me to it, and gave me a run down of several of the bourbons available. I settled on a bottle of Single Oak Project for only $ 50, where I have always seen it elsewhere for around $ 65. Solid deal. Its a little bit of a drive for me, but I’ll be back and recommend this location for anyone looking for good pricing on equally good products. Thanks again to Eric and David– I’ll see you all soon
