I’ll start with the positive… This looks like a cool place… With an indoor car lot.
But, the lack of courtesy/​effort/​professionalism is my reason for one star.
I called at 430pm to verify the car was still there, then made the 1.5 hour drive over.
The car was gone, and apparently had been gone since before I called. I told the guy I called at 3 (because I couldn’t remember at that moment), he said it got sent out around 4.
Later I checked my phone to find the 4:30 time stamp.
I won’t return, not that it seems like they care.
Beware. Maybe call every 15 minutes for status updates if you’re traveling to look at a car.

This is a great place with good deals for cars. Staff and owner are very helpful. I am very happy with my purchase.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. I called several times to see if they had a car I was interested in. I then drove all the way out there to see the car and met with Steve. After looking it over a bit, I mentioned that I’d like to drive the car. Steve’s response was «we’re not really into test drives around here. If you’re ready to do something we’ll make sure you can drive the car». I guess they’re not really into selling cars either. Sorry, but that’s a major red flag for me. Who calls several times and drives an hour to see a car if they’re not really interested in it? Who makes a decision they want to buy a car without driving it? Crazy.

Great remote car buying experience (I’m outside the Chicago area). I worked with Steve, he was very responsive via email, text and phone and was very professional and low pressure. When we were nearing a deal he gave me thorough, detailed answers to questions I had on the paint and body condition and also helped get the car over to a local mechanic for a pre-​sale inspection.
I drove 6 hours to complete the sales and trade in my car. Everything went very smoothly.
Some reviews complain about customers not being taken seriously. These guys have high end inventory in great condition, they are not going to let their cars be taken out unless you are serious.

Really good experience from beginning to end. I knew the car that I wanted before I got there, but didn’t call ahead — still as soon as I got there they moved cars around so I could take the car for a spin. I fell in love with the car and decided to get it right there and then. Steve made the whole process very smooth and what I really appreciated is that it’s a no BS approach to selling the car. They are very upfront with the pricing and therefore there’s not the usual back and forth. Due to the high end and not common inventory they carry, they are confident in their pricing and if you’ve done your research beforehand you’ll know it’s good.
I love my ML63 AMG, but when I eventually get tired of it I’ll certainly go back to Auto Gallery to get my next fun ride.

I commend you, Auto Gallery of Chicago, for a wonderful buyer’s experience. Waking through your showroom made me feel like a sheik from Dubai. You are not a vanilla secondhand dealership selling soccer mom vans, teenager wheels, and worn out SUV’s. You have taste and class in your inventory and offer stellar deals.
I came for the Mini Cooper. I got the Mini Cooper, a decent cup of coffee, and good conversation. Refreshing, because this is the eighth vehicle that I have purchased (deals spanning four states) and the simplest transaction to date. The three gentlemen that run the office have been there a while and take great pride in what they do. We were given a tour of the showroom, as facts and tidbits of information flowed from our salesman’s mouth. It was interesting information and much more than scripted lines regurgitating the Carfax and consumer reports.
Listen up, Mainstream Dealerships: High turnover and inexperienced salesmen are two big reasons people hate and mistrust you. If your employees are unhappy it will show.
AGC does not have that issue. The owner is approachable and professional. All three gentlemen mentioned a little about their families and acknowledged my fifteen month old. Nice touch.
Word to other customers: this is a business, not a place for you to fulfill your dreams and test drive a Ferrari on a Mini Cooper budget. Act like an adult and you will be treated like one. This isn’t a (insert sleazy car dealership name here), either. The prices are fair to start with and there aren’t any tricks up these guys’ sleeves. Don’t be a #*$% and try to haggle them down some exorbitant amount and then whine about it later. No, I’m not related to any of them, I’m just tired of asinine reviews.

I purchased my Audi here more than 2 years ago. My experience with this dealership was nothing but excellent. Peter and the rest of the staff were very patient and transparent since the moment I walked in the dealership. Will definitely go back here when it’s time to trade it in.

The worst place I have ever been to buy a vehicle. I drove 30mil, and the sales person/​manager he didn’t let me to test drive the car.
How u expect to buy a vehicle without test driving it… such an ashole with a rude attitude, his explanation is I don’t want the car to get dirty, and i offer to pay for cleaning…
Dude that’s why u r fat an ugly and prob someone else is doing your homework… GOD punished you pretty good.

Great experience, no pressure… Sebastian and Peter were both great and very helpful. I bought a 2007 E350 and there were no issues. went to a few other dealerships before hand and had horrible experiences. they have a lot of high end vehicles and they didn’t have a problem with me test driving what i was SERIOUS about and not just wanting to take a joy ride.
I highly recommend this place.

1 star because I came in for a car they had advertised and they would not let me test drive it. They expected me to buy the car before I test-​drove it. «Company policy» was all the sales guy would say when I asked him why.
After my experience at the dealer, and reading other people’s reviews, my opinion is that if you purchase a car here, you should probably bring an ODB scan tool to make sure the Check Engine light has not be reset recently.

Total crooks! Lied about the terms of the warranty and the existence of a warranty. They sold me a car with thousands of damage that was not revealed upon first inspection but started to come out after the first month. Do NOT buy a car from here!

Came in on a sunny day during the week to look at a 2007 Mercedes Benz S550. I asked Steve if I could take it for a test drive. He replied with «you can test drive it if you’re going to buy it, I don’t want it to get dirty»…so how am I supposed to react to that? I am supposed to buy it without test driving it? Huh… really? In your dreams pal, go find yourself a new profession! Moreover, 2 days later I purchased a car from somewhere else that costed $ 12,000 more then yours. Needless to say I had a «Pretty Women» moment. One should not judge a book by its’ cover.

I have been to countless dealerships in my past and this was probably one of the most pleasant car shopping experiences I have ever had. My parents went to the 2014 Chicago Auto Show and they fell in love with the ML350. That night I helped them do some research and we found the perfect ML on Ebay! Come to find out it was a local dealership that was selling it. That night we submitted the online credit form and we received an approval call the following morning. The truck is beautiful (c’mon its a Benz) and we are super happy with our purchase. Auto Gallery has all of its cars inside a climate controlled storage facility and you don’t have to deal with any rain/​snow/​heat/​cold while car shopping (There was about a foot of snow on the ground that day). All of the people at Auto Gallery were really awesome! They made us feel as if we had been buying cars from them for years! Sebastian, Steve and Peter were all great! They weren’t pushy and were upfront and honest from the beginning. The price for the truck was unbeatable. We did a 250 mile radius search for this truck and Auto Gallery had by far the best price, we couldn’t pass up the offer. We will definitely go back to buy more cars from them when the time comes! You should definitely check them out! You wont regret it!

Drove over 1 hour to look at two cars they have currently listed online on multiple websites including active EBay auctions.
I arrived only to be told BOTH cars were sold days ago!!!
Shame on me for not calling first, but I wanted to see the car in its current condition not after they had a heads up to get it ready.
They had the nerve to tell me it takes 2 weeks to remove a listing from EBAY! LOL, I sold a car last week and it took me 30 seconds to end my auction!

Terrible place. This place looks nice and they seem friendly but when I drove my car off the lot after purchase the check engine light came out. Ran the computer on the car and came up with a knock sensor and Catalytic converter codes. On top of that I go to stop and the ABS system does not kick in. The light for the ABS system doesn’t even light up when you start the car which I didn’t notice because they drove the car outside for me to test drive. This is highly dangerous when you expect to have ABS brakes and your tires lock up and I went into a skid! This place sold me a lemon and I highly regret doing business with them! You must read the reviews that aren’t recommended. The reviews get missed because the car people on here don’t review enough places on here because they mostly do automotive. Please don’t let this company trick you into regrets.

Great fresh selection of cars! Super patient and up-​front people as well. They carry some pretty high end vehicles including a few exotics. I purchased what you might consider an ‘entry level’ used vehicle from them and they still treated me like I was buying the most expensive car they had. I dealt with Sebastian and he seemed to know his information well and was quite the opposite of what you expect at a used car lot — no pressure! I would highly recommend checking them out.

Horrible! I am really glad I had the car inspected before purchasing. The car that had advertised as «perfect condition» had $ 15k worth of problems, including accident damage that hadn’t been reported.
Don’t trust or buy from them!
