AutoNation Collision Center Addison

The last time I brought my car in, AutoNation Collision Center in Addison was the recommendation from my insurance company. They did a fine job, and it was convenient to where I live. I was recently in a little fender bender, and requested from Progressive Insurance that we have AutoNation fix my car again. Progressive said that they no longer used that location as a preferred company, but that I could use whomever I wanted.
I REALLY tried to use AutoNation. I called, and was transferred to – I believe – Scott’s voicemail. I left him my info to set up an appointment to drop the car off. Over the next three days, I left three more voicemails. I spoke with the receptionist, who said that she was going to put a note directly on his keyboard, so that he would be sure to call me back. I left two more messages with the receptionist.
So, to the AutoNation manager: you guys don’t want my business? You won’t return my phone calls? Fine, I’ll go somewhere else.

Took my 2015 M3 to get The front bumper replaced and repainted after a small accident. The color is Austin Yellow and it is very difficult to match. After a mediocre job at a previous shop I brought it to ANC to get redone. They took the time to listen to my previous experience and understand my expectations. After a few days I picked up the car and was blown away. The paint is flawless and matched perfectly. Was skeptical at first because of some negative reviews but like any job if you take the time to get on the same page and set the expectations it is much easier for the shop to deliver. Couldn’t be more pleased

Not the best, but not the worst.
The staff isn’t super attentive or kind. The receptionist (not for Enterprise) laughed at me when I asked if my service animal was allowed in the rental car, which I thought was super rude.
It took them longer than they predicted, even though I gave them my vehicle after they got the parts.
The car looked awesome when I got it back, but now the door makes a weird noise. I also had to bring my car back because the repairs they made broke.
I don’t know if I’d recommend them, but I might use them again just because of convenience.

After getting rear ended by a DART bus and having to deal with the city insurance company, the team at AutoNation were extremely helpful and made sure that my vehicle was repaired as soon as possible. They were accommodating in every way and even fed me lunch while I was waiting for documents to be faxed from the insurance company. If I ever need auto repairs on my vehicle again I’ll definitely go back to them.

Lack of communication, no rush to get your car back to you, and on top of that, they are overpriced. Brought my car to the shop on a Wednesday needing the front bumper replaced, got it back 2 ½ weeks later. Jack pushed and pushed me to make a decision how I was moving forward, I gave him that decision, he said I would have it back a week later, then I followed up and a week later the parts hadn’t even arrived. Avoid this collision center.

After an extremely frustrating day dealing with my insurance for a claim, and having been dragged to Plano for an assessment at a repair facility that couldn’t get me in til next week, the adjuster mentioned Auto Nation Collision in Addison, which is in fact MUCH closer to my home. I went in with no appointment, and unlike my insurance company, they quickly eased my mind and said «We’ll take care of it». I was able to switch my rental reservation to Enterprise (who have a desk on site), and was able to leave my car for repair and drive away in a rental with NO hassle at all. Very happy with their service and accommodation.

I had an incident on the 75-​S where someone else hit a giant piece of debris and sent it flying into my poor jetta at over 60 mph… after estimates my car needed $ 4000 in damage. I took it to AutoNation and everyone was actually very nice. They called me every couple of days to let me know the progress. My car was in the shop for while with all the stuff it needed done, but I had a rental paid by insurace so I wasn’t worried about it. So far it has been a couple weeks and my car is like new again! I had read reviews about people driving the car around and wasting gas, but that was not my case. it was returned just as I left it, but with a clean, new body and windshield! Have not had any problems thus far. I would definitely us this place again for further body work: D

They kept postponed the pick up day from 10 days to 2 months.
The car was back with missing window tint.
After sent it back for repair, new scratches were found on the other windows.
I complained and was told that it is non of their business any more.

Good communication, but poor work. Some lady hit my car and after 6 weeks of it being at Autonation, I got it back. They had to work on the airbag deployment system, driver seat and the rear of the car that had the main collision. I picked up the car and got home and realized the parking brake was no longer working. Had to take it back and they fixed it quickly. Kevin said that something was not connected. After a couple of weeks, I get a red light saying my seatbelt is off and another red light saying the air bag deployment system was no longer working. Took it back and Kevin said it was an easy fix. I had also told them that the driver seat needed to be repaired because after the accident, the seat no longer went back to its original position. They said they addressed that. Today as I was cleaning my car, I see that there is a whole metal bar under the driver seat completely unfastened and just unscrewed and sitting there. I talked to Kevin over the phone and asked him how hard it is to just do a quick inspection after their work to see if everything is working? He just said I needed to bring in my car again. This is very inconvenient and a waste of my time. I can’t be driving to Addison every time.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I tend to think any positive review of this place is likely fraudulent and done from within the company. I’m not exaggerating or being vindictive, but based on my experience and what I’ve read from others, you should TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!
My new 2015 BMW M3 was rear ended in a hit and run on 1÷19÷15 with heavy damage. It was towed to BMW Dallas, then to Autonation Collision Center in Addison for estimating the damage (both huge mistakes on my part). The guy estimating the damage was Matt Grace, his supervisor is Jeff Galloway. He got the damage estimate at $ 40k, and then said he had to communicate directly with BMW Germany on a wiring harness that could be $ 15k. He went into an elaborate explanation of how this wiring harness is not manufactured separately from the new vehicles and how BMW Germany would have to halt production on a new M3 and take the wiring harness from it. Then, they would see if just the rear portion of the harness could be fitted to my car. He added that communication could only be done through general emails to Germany (?!), so this could take weeks to months, JUST TO GET PRICING and info on the part. Sounded fishy from day one, but ok, I really had no other options.
Monday will be three weeks and this place still can’t determine if my car is even repairable or totaled. My adjustor finally talks to this guy himself yesterday. Matt Grace now tells my adjustor, he can repair the vehicle without the elusive wiring harness, just using some basic wiring for a few hundred dollars. HUH?! This is shady and fraudulent business behavior!
Then why haven’t they started repairing it? Why did they wait almost three weeks for information on a part they now say they don’t even need? Why are they refusing to total a car that likely should be totaled? I can make may assumptions about the answers to these questions, but I won’t.
My adjustor determined the damage and salvage price to have totaled the vehicle, so hopefully his manager will approve it, and I will not have to deal with Autonation anymore.
Regardless, if my vehicle was repairable, why after three weeks, have no repairs even started? If it is totaled, why are they delaying the estimate for parts weeks later they say they do not even need?
RED FLAGS all around! Do yourself and your vehicle a favor and take it somewhere else that doesn’t do business in these deceptive and fraudulent manners.

Over a month after having my car brought in to this location to be repaired, I’m still handling the repairs of my Mini.
I have had the worst experience, and am floored by the fact that my car keeps being returned to me with blatant mistakes.
The first time I received my car, the hood was crooked. The second time I had my car returned, I had a large dent on my hood and my headlights would not focus at equal heights on the road.
In both instances, Autonation «generously» arranged a rental car for the re-​repair. By generous, I mean a $ 20 allowance per day. It is impossible to rent a car for $ 20 a day.
Do not go here if you need your car to be repaired. DO NOT.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. They tried to charge me for my deductible twice, took weeks on an 8 hour repair job, returned my car dirty and empty on gas and their customer service girl, Mandie, is the rudest person I’ve ever met in my life. What a terrible experience this was.

I got into an accident in my brand new Touareg. I was having alot of anxiety about finding the right repair place. I was worried that a poor repair job would mean me having to live with that problem everytime I stepped into my car for years to come.
I took my car to Autonation because the dealership recommended this shop (maybe because they are owned by Autonation). Well, let me say that this repair shop did nothing to help with my anxiety. My first impression was just whatever. No one was rude, but everyone seemed to be in a bad mood. There was nothing in my interaction with the estimator that said he cared about me, my car or his job. He seemed pretty miserable too. He was more interested in getting the work written up and me out the door.
Anyway, I had to take my car with me until the parts came in. But, two days later, my insurance company tells me they have not gotten an estimate yet from Autonation. I tried calling the estimate rep but it took me 24 hours of calling and then a call to his supervisor before I got a return call from him. He was clearly very annoyed with me and I was definitely wasting his time. He was short and stern and scolded me that the parts were on order and I need not repeat any of my concers as he has already heard all of it.
Well, there was no way I was leaving my car there. I mean if he is rude now, what kind of service will I get if there’s a problem after the work is done and he’s gotten my money??? No way in hell…
I told him that I was taking my car elsewhere. He said fine, but he was still going to charge me for the parts (even though they have not even been ordered yet). I told him he can order whatever he wanted but he wasn’t getting me to pay for it. I hung up as I was done with that pointless converation.
I hope my experience helps someone that my be thinking of doing business with this place.

I was hit in a private parking lot and their insurance recommended AutoNation since it was near my office. I met with Dan and he was so helpful in explaining everything to me. He called me along the way to keep me updated on the process and my car was finished earlier than expected! The insurance found me 10% at fault (which is ridiculously stupid) so I had to do a copay of 10% of the repair and rental. The repairs were a little higher than the original quote due to additional paint that had to be done to match my door to the new bumper but Dan suggested I pay with a credit card since they would have to file for an adjustment for the difference and if the insurance accidentally overpays the claim, they would just issue me the refund! I’m not counting on it but it was a gracious offer. Great service beginning to finish, and I got my car back like brand new — they even cleaned the interior! Very happy and would gladly use them again.

Make sure you get a second opinion from somewhere else before you go here! They over price everything. I had a minor dent on my car and they suggested I get a whole new door to get rid of it, Told me it would take me 12 days or more to get my job done. Would not recommend this shop to anyone. Careful guys it is your money don’t be convinced by everything they tell you.

Amazing experience for me. Got a call right away to set up my appointment. Arrived at my appointment and they ask if I was «name» when I entered the business AND had the rental car company already enroute to pick me up. Got a call from Shauna (ask for her, she is awesome) every day with my progress. Car was done within a week and they even arranged for a special pickup time for me. You dont find this service every day. Hope to never be back, but will certainly recommend this body shop to anyone unfortunate enough to need one. BTW: My car was DETAILED and probably even waxed before I picked it up.

They argued with the insurance company for two weeks, trying to raise the amount of the repairs. During this time, the representative chosen to help us, K., went to training for a number of days while he was supposed to be working on our case. No other rep took over the handling of our case. We only received communication after leaving multiple messages for the rep via email and phone. He felt that updating us once every week and a half was more than sufficient.
During the time that our car was in their shop, there was a hailstorm, and our car was damaged again. I know that, as he insisted, they’re not in control of the weather, but a call notifying us of the damage so I could file a separate claim would have been nice. He didn’t even see the hail damage (because he wasn’t paying attention to detail) or he tried to pass the vehicle off to us at handover without mentioning it. He argued with my husband in the parking lot for about a half an hour about whether or not they should have called us.
There were smudges of compound remaining on the car, and the gas tank shield was not properly placed. Shoddy service, shoddy everything, and an argument and hail damage during the time my vehicle should have been in my garage to boot. They didn’t even bother to wash the car for us. This all sounds like tiny petty stuff but it added up real quick.
I won’t go back to them if at all possible, and I recommend that anybody else who wants their car to be repaired be prepared to hound their rep and carefully inspect the vehicle afterwards, and prepare to rent a car for two weeks while they try to get more money out of your insurance company.
He actually had the gall to say we should remember when reviewing their customer service survey that they gave us the car back «a day early». In actuality, it was ready the day *before* that but the rep neglected to call us until after it was too late to pick up the car. As for the actual repairs… who knows. Time will tell.

don’t go to this place. It was the worst body shop I have ever been to and you need to be very careful if you drop your car here.
1. my car came back with 270 more mileages. It is obvious that they used my car for someone’s pleasure. Make sure you have a photo of the mileage if you have a car with this shop
2. workmanshp was terrible. When they said it was complete, i found the 5 defect witihin a minute. New body was off balance Some work is missed. Still they could not restore to the orignal factory condition. Make sure you inspect the care before you pick up. If you don’t kno how, bring someone with you to take a look.
I thought this shop would have quality as this is the shop dealership uses. It’s very wrong. Any street sweat shop can do better than this shop. I happen to visit a body shop at leaest once a year. By far, this is the worst ever. They have at least nice service folks working there, however, their techs don’t know what they are doing.
in short, don’t go to this place.

We recently got an estimate from here for our car and it seemed way overpriced for what the damage was. Make sure you get estimates from more than one place before you get any work done.

Just picked up my car from being repaired and could not be happier with the service received. My car looks brand new and was completely washed and vacuumed. My insurance quote was too low to cover the damage and repair and they contacted my insurance adjuster for me and arranged to have the insurance company pay the difference directly to Bankston. Loved not having to deal with that all over again. J.L. helped me and he called me to keep me completely updated on everything happening with my car. I was in and out from dropping my car off to picking it up, no waiting! And, they have an Enterprise car rental on site which is super convenient. Hopefully, I won’t have to visit them again (haha) but if I need car repairs in the future I will definitely choose Bankston collision center.
