Love my closet! So pleased with design and service and product! Have used in multiple spaces and very happy!

YoCloset by Desgn (CBD)was our choice after we looked at the more expensive option California Closet and Container Store where were not so convince of the quality. During the planning period CBD employers made a professional impression and had a personal touch. They seemed more flexible with there options and the price was even still on the higher end but less expensive then other providers .The samples you could chose from seemed like a good quality product. Here our good experience ended. The manufacture and material which arrived is poor quality. Very disappointing for that amount of money The closet throughout shows fissures of vary sizes between the wood and decorative frame with clue sticking out. The installation was rocky. Many details were missed like the space for a pull out mirror, drilled in screws damaged the wood around it were only taken care of after complain and were covered cheaply. The wood was chipped, gaps between walls and closet gave an unfinished looked. I discussing the shortcoming with the manager at our house and we created a list. The worker did not show up the first two appointment with the excuse that the other jobs has taken longer. They called to exuse themselves in the evening. I lost two days of work waiting for them to come. But this is just a side note. The third attempt the worker came and had only a few points on their list of what I had discussed with the manager before. The repairs made the look better but the poor quality of the material used remained. One comment of the company was: I am sorry but we are not responsible for the manufacturing of the product we just sell and install those”.
I don’t have any hard feelings. Just stating the facts. I most likely could have avoid this experience by going first to a show room. I would like to share so that people out there are more aware.
Today I would chose from the option I had California Closet even if they were higher priced and less personal in their approach .
Closet by Desgn does not sell the product what there make you believe with brochures and samples.

I have used Closets by Design in 2 different homes. First home they did our pantry. Second home they just recently completed our master closet, a pantry, a storage closet and an organizational wall in the garage for our tools and equipment. Debra our design consultant understood our needs and designed our spaces to be both functional and beautiful. All of the installers are very competent and professional.

I have used Debra at CBD twice now. Both times she was very professional and did a fabulous job designing the closets to suit all my needs. Both times everything was installed on time and very professionally. I have recommended Debra and CBD to several of my friends.

Our experience was mixed. The closet is great as was the install. The customer service was hit and miss. We chose this company based on the designs by Suzanne and the lower costs using 2 coupons we had. She utilized our space well. Unfortunately, she promised us that she’d turn in our order so that we’d get a call the very next morning to schedule our install.
That timing was CRITICAL for us. (Our closet had collapsed — we were remodeling because we couldn’t use it.) I had to call the office myself to schedule it. Our job was not turned in and we lost precious time getting our install scheduled. In fact, I tried to contact our sales rep, Suzanne, several times about different things. NEVER heard back from her. She got her commission and she was done with us.
On the positive, Suzi in the office was fantastic. She helped me buy an accessory for the closet that the designer would have if she had returned a call. I sincerely hope Suzi got a commission. Also, a huge bonus is Matthew. He tore out our closet and installed it with Bryan. He was an amazing, polite young man. I’m glad he was my last contact with this company. I will never work with Suzanne again if we need anything additional in our closet. I will contact Suzi and pray that it’s Matthew that shows up to install it.

While Debra did a great job of designing the space, the rest of the project was pretty much a disaster. A project that should’ve been a 2-​day install took more than four months to get right. The first problem was the install. Day 2 when the team left, the closets and my bathroom were a mess! I took photos of the boot prints on the closets, the dings in the paint on the walls in my hallway and bathroom from hitting the walls while carrying in the closet pieces, the sloppy install job, the messy caulking job, and more. They sent the same team out a day later (after I’d cleaned up most of the mess) to «fix» it but it was still just an average install job. They then had mis-​measured pieces, couldn’t find the solve for how to get the right sized handles on the doors, installed a mirror with a defect (which 5 months later is still not resolved). They are also the worst at being responsive. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. For an $ 8,000 project, I expected better. I think my quote to them after the initial install was that the IKEA closets I had originally looked a lot better than the job they did. Spend your money elsewhere… these people don’t care enough about your project to get it right.

I had a great experience with Closets by Design and Tina Pruzzo! Tina designed our his and hers master bedroom closets and they turned out perfectly. The installers were very polite, careful and cleaned up well after themselves. I highly recommend working with Tina and her team.

This company is irresponsible and does not know how or why their install pieces are the wrong size and do not fix the install problems or incomplete installations.
The sales job is great, lots of promises!
Then wait! Wait some more! Wait some more! and never receive a call back. There is NO FOLLOW UP once you sign the contract.
The installer was good but was in such a hurry to leave that he did not complete the job and the company refused to send him back to finish. The doors for the closet were the wrong size so I had to wait another month for that. No one called back to complete the job.
On the day of install Jason yelled at me and threatened me when I suggested the final payment go into escrow until the job is complete. Lisa said that she did not know what that meant. Jason told me to take $ 200 off on the day of install when I made payment, then LIsa said I am not paid in full because I owe the $ 200.
LIsa keeps telling me that she cannot understand why I have these issues, «no one has had those».
Be forewarned, read your contract carefully and watch out for these sheisters.

Highly recommend Closets By Design! Fantastic service and product! Maria really did a great job getting us the most out of our budget. I didn’t think it was going to be possible after getting quotes through closet factory. She will make it happen for you.

Debra did a great job on the design of our master bedroom closet. She took advantage of every inch of space in our closet to provide us the best use of space. Our installers were very efficient and pleasant. They arrived earlier than their planned time (YAY!), worked hard to get everything done and then left us with a beautiful new closet and not a speck of dirt anywhere from the install. I am loving my new space and can see all of my clothes, shoes and purses. Thanks again for my new closet!!!

Amazing closet!!! They did an excellent job. It was everything I envisioned and more. I highly recommend closets by design! Professional and expedient. Would definitely use them again.

Very slow process but Tina was a good sales rep

Beautiful cabinets, but horrible follow up. This is the second time counter tops are being replaced. Can’t get office fully organized because of this. Still doing most of my work out of my kitchen. Not good with follow up, especially the 2^nd time around. If I don’t call, I don’t get any feed-​back. Been a month since my initial install. Should have never given them the final payment… maybe then they would be moving a bit faster. As it stands, new countertops won’t be installed until the end of the week (at least that’s what they are hoping).
