Dollar General Store

Love this store for several reasons:
1) Pricing
2) Location
3) Parking
4) Selection
I don’t mind saving $$, don’t mind saying «I got it at the $ Store», for this keeps more $$ in my purse for good Top Shelf Margaritas and fine Wine.
The folks here always recognize me with a friendly and helpful greeting. The store is easy to navigate even tho the aisles are narrow.
Prices here for my staple items are much less than neighborhood grocery stores. I purchase most of my cleaning supplies, laundry detergents, paper plates, bath gels, etc on a regular basis. I’ve even found some cute greeting cards on occasion. Once, when browsing in the grocery section, I noticed some National brand spices that were considerably less such as seasoned pepper, garlic pepper, lemon pepper, cumin, etc., ones that I use regularly. What a deal !
Of course, at times I have found the same items @ Target on sale at comparable prices. However, $ General is a quick & easy in-​and– out way to shop.
Pluses for shopping here as noted above are the location, just down the street from home, and convenient head in parking at the door, particularly nice in inclement weather or on typical summer days with temps of 102 degrees; not having to walk across a steaming asphalt parking lot makes me a very happy camper (or shopper in this case).
The only downside IMHO is that selections and variety change frequently. On one trip I’ll find the laundry detergent I need, on another, it’s not available. Knowing that up front makes it okay.
I’ll just keep keeping on saving those green backs for more fun and enjoyable outings!
