Double Exposure

I’m so glad a found this jewel !! The shop is in an out of the way place so you don’t have to worry about trouble finding a parking spot or dealing with hordes of crowds to do your shopping. The personalized service is amazing! It’s like having your own personal shopping assistant to help you find what really looks best on you.
Most of the clothes are VERY gently used or even new with tags. You can find super high end clothes, shoes, handbags, jewelry, etc. at reasonable prices.
I think the shop has been expanded recently because there were so many racks that I couldn’t get through it all on my lunch break. I didn’t want to leave and plan to go back later this week.
So worth it!!!

So I have gone back a few more times and I think I have cracked the code to shopping here.
1. Always check the $ 5 – 20 rack. I found several tops by Michael Kors, DVF, Escada, etc.
2. Never purchase the item the first time you see it. I always come back two weeks later and its already marketed down.
3. Ask about sales, they don’t mark the shoes 30% off, but if you ask she will tell you.
4. shop on a limited time budget. If you have hours to waste, you will be in there for hours.
5. Have a max budget. I can easily spend $ 500 in no time.
Now a lot of the styles are out dated and the prices are high. but after a few mark downs, you can find a Chanel top for around $ 75. I find really good deals if I take the time to scope them and out and dig thru the racks. I can say they have really gotten a HUGE selection of top designer shoes… luck for me most are in a 7.5 or an 8.

Double Exposure is a designer consignment shop located inside a lone office building off Dallas Parkway in Addison. If you enjoy fashion treasure hunting like I do, you’ll love rifling through the racks of designer duds and circling the Louboutin display like a cougar closing in for the kill. The space, though surprisingly small, offers a generous variety of garments in an even more generous variety of prices — $ 5 Tahari t-​shirt to a $ 900 Akris suit. Many of the pieces still have their original tags attached, and the others have only been gently worn. In general, however, you can expect to pay about as much for something as you would at a Last Call Neiman Marcus. But the change of atmosphere was half the fun! I walked away with half a new wardrobe.
The only disappointment I experienced was the lack of interesting shoes. Yes, all the big name labels were there (Manolos, Louboutins, Pradas, etc) but the shoes were very conservative and/​or dated styles but still priced like they were from only two seasons ago. Humph.
The sweet lady working the register was incredibly friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Also, do not confuse this Double Exposure with the thrift store of the same name in Fort Worth. They are in no way related to each other, and while some bargains can be found in Ft. Worth, the Addison Double Exposure is better worth your time.
