We learned of E&K cleaning service through a friend — we had never hired a professional cleaning service before, so we put a lot of trust into this recommendation. Soon after we reached out for a quote we had a note back with all the information we needed. Communication prior to our appointment was excellent. They were super flexible with scheduling our cleaning day on the time and day that worked best for us. We were able to take care of everything through email which was really convenient for me. The cleaner was wonderful. Timely, careful, friendly and super professional. She listened to our instructions and requests and made our place look & smell amazing. We had a couple of areas of feedback after our cleaning, which we were able to communicate back to the company with ease.
They were also great about helping us set up a cleaning schedule for the year that fit our budget and comfort level. That was really appreciated.

I found E&K cleaning service after a quick online search. I’ve had another big name company clean for me before and I didn’t feel like they did a good job. They got the surface, but that’s about all.
I gave them a try and am so glad I did. We had the initial cleaning a couple of weeks later and have had three biweekly cleanings since then. Oh, my! They do such a good job. The house sparkles when Izabella is done. She is awesome! I cannot say enough good things about the cleaning. She spends about four to four and a half hours each time at my house (2,200 square feet) and does such a good job. She gets to work as soon as she arrives (which is always on time!) and is careful as she works. I haven’t had any concerns with her being in my home, with or without me here.
I highly recommend Nook and Cranny for anyone who needs their home cleaned and maintained!

I just used this service last week Thursday and I had a very good experience with this company. Everything was done to my satisfaction and I couldn’t be happier. Let me just start by saying I have never used a cleaning service before. I was hesitant to call but I had family coming in and really needed the extra help to prepare for their visit. I was initially just going to call around and get some pricing and feel out the whole process. I called E&K cleaning service first and got someone within just a few rings.
I told her my situation and listed off the spaces I needed cleaned including the areas I really wanted some extra attention to. I was astonished that they came in a crew of 1 – 3 people and had everything with them to clean my home. I asked a bunch of questions and probably drove them crazy with how picky I was.
However, every question was answered and they made sure to give me all the information I would need to make a decision. The company just seemed so transparent about how they operated that I decided to just go ahead and book the clean.
It was for the day before my company arrived and I was nervous about it not going well. I have heard horror stories from many friends. However, my experience has been far from the «norm.»
The team showed up during the time frame as promised, they were a team of 3, and had all their cleaning supplies. They came right in with smiling faces and got right to work. They worked magic in my home while I was there.
I had to leave early to for an appointment and told them how to lock-​up when they were finished. When I returned home, I had a surprise at every turn. By surprise, I mean I could not believe how CLEAN everything was and the things they cleaned. I could just spend hours admiring the work these fine ladies did in my home. I have spent all morning referring them to all my co-​workers.
E&K cleaning service even spent a few minutes to give me a call the next day just to make sure I was happy with everything, and as you can see I am one very satisfied customer. I cannot wait to call again for another clean!

I wish there was an option to give 0 stars. DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE INTO YOUR HOUSE. We scheduled a post-​construction cleaning for our 1900 sq ft house, one woman showed up 30 minutes late, when asked if there would be more women coming to help, as requested, she didn’t know. A few hours into the cleaning, I got a call that one of the windows broke, mind you we have been doing construction in the house for over a month and never had any problems with things breaking prior to hiring E & K. The cleaning lady couldn’t get her story straight about where she was in the house when the window broke. Long story short, we asked the cleaning lady to leave and informed them we would not be paying for their service. This company is sketchy at best. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of them.

The supervisor escorted a cleaning crew of two women. He was very helpful and explained to us what they were going to do and what chemicals they were going to use. Note that we wanted green cleaning products. He also explained the prices before started the job. I will be using E&K for my next cleaning. Two thumbs up.

Hiring a cleaning company was very difficult for us. We had to go out of our comfort zone to hire a trust worthy company. We stumbled across E&K Cleaning Services and decided to book a cleaning with them. Customer service was very helpful, they were very elaborate with prices.

I would give E&K Cleaning Service zero stars, if it was allowed by Unilocal.My husband and I have had nothing short of a customer service nightmare after hiring this firm. There was zero consistency with this firm — some weeks the house would be spotless. Other weeks, not so much. Some weeks they used our cleaning products. Other weeks, they used their own. Some weeks they would clean our finished basement. Other weeks, they wouldn’t touch it. They never once attempted to remove pet hair from any of our furniture, despite our asking and leaving out our own lint rollers.
My husband spent hours on the phone with this company trying to manage the weekly cleaning and it was just too much hand-​holding for such a small, 1,200 square foot house. Our biggest issue came after we brought our newborn daughter home and during the entire duration of my maternity leave.
We had KINDLY asked to be made aware of when they would be arriving every week so that I could plan napping accordingly. They would often only give me a 3 hour window, and then would consistently call to say it would be later and later. Imagine how stressful for a new mom this would be when you have a tiny, napping newborn and your cleaning service arrives 45 minutes early (or late) and you are forced to wake her to move her.
The final straw was when I finally had her down on afternoon and within five minutes they called to say they were five minutes away. I asked that they kindly come an hour later and the driver said that wouldn’t be a problem. Then my husband received a call from the CEO saying that was an outrage that we could communicate with the driver and that they wanted to end our agreement with them.
DO NOT HIRE THIS CLEANING SERVICE, especially if you have a newborn at home, or you will regret it!

I was looking for a cleaning company for a really deep spring clean. I saw a special deal in E&K cleaning service so I called for more information.
I was contacted a day later by an account coordinator who set me up for a deep clean starting at 11:30AM.
They arrived promptly and brought their own equipment and supplies. They immediately got to it in our upstairs area. They were up there for about three hours. When I looked it over there was not a speck of dust or dog hair anywhere. The bathroom and shower enclosure were as clean as the day we had them installed.
They then proceeded to tackle the downstairs: kitchen/​dining/​living rooms, two bedrooms and a bathroom. They spent another three hours and again, all signs of dog were eliminated (if only temporarily).
Every surface was wiped clean, no grease was left anywhere, cabinet doors were wiped down as well. The attention to detail was wonderful. The carpets were clean and the kitchen floor was thoroughly washed.
I looked over the entire house and told the ladies how lovely it all looked. I also gave them a 20% tip for all their hard work.
I am planning to hire them for a regular twice per month cleaning. I recommend E&K cleaning service based on the results of my experiences.

We had e&k out for the first time two weeks ago. Here is the e-​mail that I sent following their visit and have still not received a response.
To Whom it May Concern:
On Thursday of this week we had cleaners out to our home. My understanding for this cleaning was that we would have 3 hours of cleaning for the first time and recommendations would be made from there for future time needs. Our first negative encounter happened with the man who came with the women who cleaned our home. He walked in and immediately (before looking at ANYTHING) claimed it would take 5 hours to clean our home. Now, I understand that our house has decent square footage, but it takes me alone 2.5 hours to clean, so this seemed absurd. We let him know our priorities for being cleaned in 3 hours with an understanding that everything in the house may not be cleaned. I was happy (although not surprised) to see that it actually did take a total of 3 person hours and they got to everything. Sure there was some cleaning powders left on the floors and a few minor details, but I was generally pleased. Until I walked into our very underutilized front room this afternoon to realize that while vacuuming a paint can was knocked over and spilled all over our carpet. Please have a manager call me as soon as possible to discuss these concerns and rectifying the problem with our carpet.

E&K clearers are the best!
Over the years I have tried several cleaning companies but this one is by far the best in terms of professionalism, flexibility, thoroughness, cost and customer service.
I started my search on the Internet at 5 am on a Saturday morning looking for a licensed and bonded cleaning company who could work on a Sunday downtown Chicago, the next day, and I found E&K. Their name popped up on a search for the best cleaning companies in Chicago. I called them at 8 am and was able to schedule a cleaning for the next day. Please note that lots of cleaning companies will not make an appointment for you on such short notice and very few will work on Sundays. I was already impressed.
The two ladies showed up on time and after a quick tour of the place, they went to work. When I returned home, I noticed the difference with my first step inside the door. The floor was sparkling, and everything was in much better order than it was when I left and the place smelled clean, not like chemicals or perfume.
Beyond the fantastic job that was done, they also did many things I did not expect. For example, they vacuumed and ordered my closet and they washed the dishes in the kitchen sink. Most cleaning companies would not dare do this but they did. What a pleasant surprise.
To top it all off, their rates are very reasonable. These guys are tops for me. They have made me a regular customer. It is a pleasure to come home to a nice clean house.

E&K saved my life!!! Last minute we found new tenants for our apartment and needed cleaning done the very next day!!! I think I must have called all the cleaning services in Chicago and NOTHING!!! When I called E&K their office was already closed so I left a voicemail, and they called me back in the morning. Of course-​my luck– as every other service, they were fully booked for that day! I thought I was going to get a heart attack! And then, I don’t know how, but by making some arrangements, the girl from the customer service, was able to squeeze me into their busy schedule!!! Thank you 100X for that! The cleaners arrived around 11am. They sent a crew of 2 people and they cleaned my apartment spotless, and I do mean it!!! All the appliances looked like new and floor all shiny!!! I mean, I can not thank you enough E&K !!!

We use this cleaning service at our office. They are always thorough and highly responsive to any special requests we make. Somehow they manage to keep the place clean without making it feel like they even came in which is wonderful. IT allows people to feel comfortable leaving things out such as projects and paperwork without having to worry about anything getting shifted or lost. Thank you E&K for making our workspace look and feel so clean!

I LOVE THIS CLEANING SERVICE! I have used them for over 1 year. They did my move out cleaning at my old house and they clean my house 1x per month right now. It is the best service around. I could not be happier. NEVER any problems. They are also very reasonable compared to other companies. It is the best feeling when I come home to a clean house! My house is entirely wood floors and they shine like new after a cleaning. They also clean my kids’ bedrooms and do my dishes as well as change all the bedding. I love this company!!! You will not be disappointed!

As far as being on time, I would rate this company poorly, we used them for our rental property, I made the appointment on a Friday, and it was schedule for a Monday. We were told that they would arrive between 10−11am. I even got a phone call on Saturday to confirm. My husband waited around and no one showed. I called, and they were running late, so he said they would be there by 1230. Come 1230 still no one was there, I called back again, now they are late again and wont be there until 1−2pm. Why weren’t we called to be notified? So, in order to rectafy this they gave us $ 25. off for the first hour.
As for the cleaning, they did do a great job cleaning, once they showed up. The previous tenant had left the place a mess, and they did a very good job cleaning everything.
I can recommend for cleaning, but I can’t recommend for customer service.
