Established in 1995.

In June 1995, the company began franchising. By 1998, Home Instead Senior Care had grown to 99 offices and was recognized by Entrepreneur magazine as one of the 100 fastest growing franchise companies in the United States. In 2000, Home Instead Senior Care began international development with the opening of an international partner relationship in Osaka, Japan with Duskin Corporation.

Business Owner

Lane Atkins was born in Dallas Texas and raised in Ft. Smith, AR. He graduated from Baylor University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in communications. After graduation, he began a sales career in the software Industry which spanned 10 years and 3 cities. Always looking for an opportunity to start his own business, he purchased his franchise of Home Instead Senior Care in January 2003.

«I have always loved spending time with seniors because I enjoy their company and wisdom. I’ve also always had a passion for helping others. So when I had the opportunity to do both of those things with Home Instead, I jumped at the chance. I was first introduced to in-​home senior care after our family hired a company to care for my grandmother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in her late 70’s.»
