Lasting Bridal Couture

I purchased my gown at Lasting Bridal Couture. I am getting married next week. All of the staff there have been extremely nice and helpful. I had an issue with my gown once it came it (it looked different than the sample I had tried on). They were quick to contact the designer to have it fixed and got it back to me just in time for the wedding. They informed their alterations person about my dress so that she could be prepared to do alterations on my dress quickly since we were going to be cutting it close. I ordered my bridesmaids dresses through them as well. I also ordered a bridesmaid dress for my myself to wear in my brother’s wedding. The first time I put it on, the zipper broke in half. I informed them and they took the dress back for me and will have the designer send me a new one. I feel like I gave them trouble, but they never once acted put out by having to deal with any of my issues. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy their bridal gown or a bridesmaid dress!

The Good:
Fantastic selection of gowns
Top-​notch service
Friendliest environment (I visited almost 10 boutiques across DFW, and Lasting bridal by far made me feel comfortable trying dresses on and having FUN).
The Bad:
Alterations here were so sloppy and over-​priced.
Wendy kept wanting to safety-​pin my gown as a final fix to keep the top in place! Hello? I’m paying you to sew the dress so I don’t have to safety-​pin it!
Go to Silhouette in Plano, TX for alterations instead. They made me feel confident wearing a strapless gown.
The Ugly:
Found a yellow (pee?) stain my gown, which they spot cleaned. Picked up dress in bag that was covered in white (dog or cat?) hair and a huge yellow (more urine?) stain on the bag! Yikes!!! – but Keri and the owner worked with me to refund me the cost to get the dress cleaned – so you can tie this into the good customer service review up top. Appreciate their good service on that issue.
Overall:
Lasting gets and A+ for selection and service, but a C– for alterations.
I would highly recommend buying your gown here, but save yourself from the alterations work.

I just had my wedding and am incredibly grateful for the way Lasting Bridal Couture accommodated me throughout the process of buying and altering my wedding dress.
I went to several other places before finding «the dress» at LBC and was sold immediately.
In the alterations process, I did have some hiccups as I lost some weight and the dress just did not fit correctly. (I did have to beg and cry) but the owner fit me in for a last minute appt two weeks before my wedding to fix my issues. When I went back in the Tuesday before my wedding and it still needed some fixing– the alterations person stayed past closing to alter it further.
I will just say to be very communicative about what you want because I had to be very specific about what I needed changed, and I am no expert in alterations. I wish she had been able to notice some of the problems on her own instead of me having to ask and offer up my own solutions (like putting in bra cups which she said I did not need and definitely did).
I have heard in some bridal shops, they will have your last fitting just a week out from your wedding to make sure it’s the perfect fit, and I wish LBC offered that.
Overall, loved the store– so many options and affordable prices. They really helped me narrow down what I wanted and in the end loved!

This review is solely for their alterations department. I wrote previously that I bought my dress from LBC and loved it. I had read some less than stellar reviews regarding tailoring but went ahead with using their seamstress, Wendy. I had my appt with her which was a little disconcerting when I was giving her directions on how to tailor my dress and what I felt needed to be fixed. I came back several weeks later to try on my dress and was horrified by the bustle. The buttons that were affixed to the outside of the dress were in satin when my dress was a soft netting… which meant they stuck out like a sore thumb. I mentioned several times how I did NOT like the buttons and suggested she exchange them for a clear button, saying that they wouldn’t stick out so much and she said she felt differently, that clear buttons would stand out more. After going back and forth on the bustle and feeling like I wasn’t being heard, I decided to sign the paperwork stating that I was accepting the alterations and left the store. First mistake… if you don’t like the alterations, do not sign that paper because you won’t have much of a leg to stand on later when trying to get a refund. At this point it was 4 weeks until my wedding and I was, for lack of a better term, freaking out. I called around to see who could fix the alterations in a pinch. I found someone who could help me out so I called up LBC to let them know I would be taking my dress somewhere else. They asked me to leave the dress and let Wendy fix what I felt was wrong. At 4 weeks from the wedding, I didn’t trust Wendy to fix anything, considering in our last appointment she didn’t feel like anything was wrong with the dress, let alone the awful bustle. When I took my dress to another alterations appt I found out that the left cup of my dress was inches off in dimension from the right cup, Wendy had used yellow thread to sew in the buttons on the bustle instead of ivory and didn’t even clip the strings (they were hanging down), the sewn in cups on the inside of the dress had to be reset, and the ivory buttons were ultimately switched out for clear buttons. Crisis diverted and my dress was perfect for my wedding day. But I ended up paying double in alterations costs and felt that I deserved a refund from LBC since almost every alteration Wendy made had to be corrected by my new seamstress. I only received a refund on the bustle since Wendy remembers me saying how I didn’t like it. But I wouldn’t receive a refund on anything else because I didn’t say anything at the appointment, didn’t give them another chance to fix the alterations, and I signed off on the alterations. And according to Sarah (the manager of LBC) Wendy has been their seamstress for over 10 years and states that no one has had any complaints about her. Which honestly baffles me after what I dealt with. Two separate seamstresses saw my dress after Wendy’s alterations and they were both at a loss for words on what they saw. Something as basic as using string and buttons that match the dress in color and fabric was lost on Wendy. When I was turned down on a full refund, I called and talked to Sarah. I explained that after my second appointment with Wendy, and how she shot down my requests to fix my bustle, I didn’t see a point to argue any other points with her because I felt it was falling on deaf ears. I felt Wendy wasn’t interested in what I had to say, she was only interested on getting me to sign the alterations form and move on. I was still turned down on a full refund. Which, btw, was approx $ 220. My alterations at the other place cost LESS (and were done correctly) and that cost me $ 216. LBC could’ve refunded the amount (which financially to them is probably peanuts) to make right what went wrong and would’ve made me a happy customer who would’ve referred other friends, but instead they chose not to and keep that money, which in my opinion is bad business. So please don’t make the mistake that I did. Having a dress crisis 4 weeks before your wedding is not something I would wish on any bride. LBC is a great place to buy a beautiful dress on a budget, but I would absolutely use another service for alterations, and possibly another boutique all together. I’ve posted pictures of the dress after Wendy’s alterations, just to add evidence to this review.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Bridal Couture. I purchased my wedding dress last year around Christmas at 260 lbs. I told them at the time of purchase I was hoping to lose a significant amount of weight. They told me they could take the dress in. I don’t think anyone expected me to lose 94 lbs. I bought the dress final sale.
I went today for a dress fitting and the dress would need to be taken in 8 inches. The seamstress said it is not realistic. They could have left me sad and stuck with a beautiful dress that doesn’t fit that I would have to resell myself. However they were amazing and let me trade the dress in for one that fit.
I could not be more grateful for their kindness. As brides we already have so much to worry about its so nice to at least know you don’t have to worry about your dress; that no matter what happens you will be taken care of!

Sarah is AMAZING! LOVE LOVE HER! She is patient and fun to work with. And the owner was very stweet, i was looking for a dress that i liked but they didn’t have it in store so they borrowed the dress from the designer for me to try it on!!! How awesome is that!!!

While this shop came with pretty good reviews, however that isn’t the case for me. I visited the boutique with my sister who is getting married next year, and I wanted to see about getting an appointment to come back at a later time so that my sister could sample dresses. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by friendly staff, And the prices appeared to be reasonable. What was the turning point for me was that this was my sisters first time ever looking for a dress for her wedding and was a bit overwhelmed, and since I was in town from the east coast for the weekend, I wanted her to have an idea about what style of dress she might like. I asked the sales person if it were possible that she could try on one dress. Which didn’t require any special instructions to out it on, however the salesperson stated that because they were closing in 20 minutes, she could not accommodate her. No my opinion, I think that my sister would have gone back to make an appointment if she felt like her business was warranted. Im sure others will go to the boutique, but we probably will not go back in the coming weeks.

I’ve been in a lot of weddings and all my bridesmaids dresses have come from this bridal store. This store has great styles and the prices are very reasonable. The owners are great and their employees are very helpful. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone looking for a bridal gown or bridesmaid dress.

The process of finding a wedding dress is exciting, filled with nerves, and sometimes a bit stressful. I flew in from out of town because my wedding is in Dallas, so I booked several different appointments around the metroplex to make sure I could find my dress in one weekend.
I started with a shop in Lewisville, and had a good experience but found that a lot of the dresses were just a little out of my price range. It’s very easy to get carried away and not stick to budget, but I was determined. My next appointment was at Lasting Bridal, which was recommended to me by a friend.
We had the first appointment of the day, and my bridal consultant, Rachel, was ready to go when my mom and I arrived. Lasting Bridal is different from the other shop I tried in that the dresses were arranged by budget, so there it was very clear which racks I should be looking at to make sure I was watching the dollars. They also have a room filled with tons of sale dresses and off the rack options that were extremely affordable and in great shape. The selection of dresses was great, and they had a lot of different options in terms of style and price.
They have several dressing rooms, then brides all share the same stage and each bride has their own platform to stand on and show their guests. I can see where this might be a little less intimate than other shops, but I really enjoyed seeing other girls trying on dresses, it was fun to see other girls’ styles and I got to see way more dresses on actual girls instead of just on hangars.
Rachel told me to start with about 7 dresses, but of course I got over excited and my mom and I picked out double that. Rachel was great with getting me in and out of the dresses quickly, and she gave her opinion when we asked, and didn’t get annoyed when I wanted to try on a couple of dresses twice just for comparison. She also seemed very in tune with my mom and I, and what we were looking for. I really appreciated that after only a few minutes, I felt like we were friends and could talk honestly about each dress. I never felt like she was trying to convince me of any dress. And toward the end, we found «the one». I still went back and tried a few more dresses on, and then she didn’t mind when I wanted to try «the one» on again and take several minutes to walk around the store, take pictures, etc.
She also made the measuring process very easy, and she was just a pleasure to work with. I’d highly recommend Lasting Bridal. All the consultants were very well versed in the types of dresses, designers, and seemed to be able to help each bride individually and successfully. I also really appreciated how budget conscious they all were, no one tried to push a dress or sell me anything that was more than I had planned on spending.
My dress should be here in July, and I plan on using their in house tailor for any alterations I may need. I’m very much looking forward to it, and Rachel said she’d be able to help for that part of the process as well, so I’m grateful to have the same consultant throughout my entire dress process! If you’re looking for a great dress and great experience, Lasting Bridal is the place to go!

They are absolutely wonderful. I did not buy my wedding gown from them, but I went in to look for bridesmaids dresses and they provided great service and selection. Wholeheartedly recommend this shop.

This store is fantastic! My sister bought her wedding dress from here over 10 years ago so when I was looking for bridesmaid dresses this is where I went. The selection was HUGE and we found the perfect bridesmaid dress. If you can’t find something here I don’t know if you will. There are so many choices. The price was a tad high but they worked with me on the price. The service is fantastic! If I didn’t already have my wedding dress, I would have made this my next stop. The gowns they carry are beautiful.

Lasting Bridal Couture was a great experience. I worked with Lo, who was attentive, professional, funny, and brought a great energy to my shopping experience. She listened to what I wanted, the theme of the wedding, and my concerns. They had a great selection with unique styles for both brides, and bridesmaids. I only have two grievances. One, is the set up of the store. There is one «stage» where all the brides try on. I felt it awkward to voice my opinions and insecurities when other brides and their parties could see, hear, and weigh in with their opinions (which they did). To remedy this, I recommend scheduling an appointment at an off time or not on a Saturday. Second, there was a 9.5 dress, (almost right, but not quite). My family loved, and I loved it at first. However the warm fuzzy feeling waned because I felt like the dress highlighted the areas I did not want emphasis on for my big day. Instead of finding similar gowns with a slightly different shape, I felt like I just «reassured» this would be my dress, I would come around, and I had no reason to be insecure. I understand that this came from a good place, but really I just felt more discouraged, because we couldn’t «move on» from the 9.5 dress. Ultimately, I did not purchase a dress from them, but do recommend LBC, and overall had a positive, customer oriented experience.
P. S. Leave the champagne at home. No beverages!

This shop was the 2^nd shop I went to, and after a less than stellar experience at a different store, this shop was a welcomed experience. They have a lot of selection and a variety of sizes. My only «complaint»… and it could have been partially my fault… was that I didn’t feel like my consultant was getting a good idea of what I was asking for. She was very sweet and I didn’t feel pressured or anything… I just didn’t feel like she was «getting me». I did not end up buying my dress here, but I would suggest it to other brides looking for a large selection and a moderate budget.

One trip, and done! Just what I wanted! I found Lasting Bridal Couture through the Maggie Sottero website — I just LOVE her gowns!!! LBC is an authorized retailer for Maggie so I just HAD to come here. It’s funny actually, I emailed Pure Luxe Bridal in Allen several times with questions and NEVER got a response from anyone (they are much closer to me than Lasting Bridal Couture). But I reached out to LBC several times and ALWAYS got such great responses from Lauren. She was so incredibly helpful before I even came in the shop!
Yesterday, I had my appointment with Lauren. I tried on about 8 or 9 dresses, and really liked elements from each one — Lauren is so good at what she does, she was able to find me several dresses that captured what I was looking for, and eventually found me the dress that encompassed everything I’ve been looking for!
It was such a fantastic experience, I can’t speak her praises enough. Now, just have to wait until January for my dress to get in — I am so excited!

I live in Wichita Falls. We don’t have much of a wedding dress selection up here, so my friend suggested a few places that she went to in the metroplex. One Saturday in November 2013, I made appointments at a couple bridal shops to try on dresses.
My first stop was Last Bridal Couture. My appointment was with Rebekah. I was a little frustrated with the dresses because their try-​on sizes are 8s and 10s and I’m a healthy 14. Rebekah could tell I was starting to get ready to nix the store and head on to my next destination. She told me to wait and she’d go find another to try on. The dress she brought in was beautiful, so I tried it on. When I walked out I felt like all eyes were on me. I felt comfortable and stunning in the size 10 so I knew a 14 would be even more fabulous. I chose this to be my wedding dress!!! Rebekah was so excited with me. Even though I had just met her I felt like I have known her my whole life.
I have had 2 dress fittings since then and each time I go in Rebekah remembers me and comes to the alterations room to hang with me. She and the rest of the staff are so personable and attentive to my wants and needs. This last dress fitting visit one of my bridesmaids came with me. We have had a difficult time finding her a bridesmaids dress. Rebekah took 1 look at her and found THE perfect dress. I HIGHLY recommend this boutique and scheduling an appointment with Rebekah for any formal dress needs.

Amazing experience! I went in thinking I would never find the perfect dress after sadly losing a deposit for a dress somewhere else. I was very surprised and relived to see how patient and helpful the girls here were! Sarah is amazing! I didn’t decide on a dress on my first visit and came back a few more times before finally picking my ideal gown, and every single time I went in I was treated amazingly! I highly recommend them (especially Sarah she rocks!)

!!!CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!
Don’t let the nice customer service fool you. There are a few things that you need to know before you buy a wedding dress from here:
1) KNOW YOUR SIZE. Make sure you do measurements yourself before you go. They will explain that wedding gown sizes tend to run small and recommend ordering one size larger than what you normally wear. It does not sound like a big deal, until they slam you with alteration costs later…
2) HIDDEN ALTERATIONS COSTS. When you buy the dress, they will give you very vague answers about the costs of alterations like «it depends on the dress.» I pressed them THREE times before they gave me an answer that was still vague: «it can go from $ 75 up.»
Months later when my dress arrived, I learned that «$ 75 and up» meant $ 500 for my dress!!! I had to get the sides taken in (because the dress was too big…), shorten the hem (even though I custom ordered the length), and shorten the sleeves (again, because the gown was ordered a size up). Another customer had the same issue as I did so this is not a unique case!
3) «WE KNOW BEST, THE CUSTOMER IS WRONG ATTITUDE.» The smiles went away after I started challenging them about their practices.
The manager told me that these alterations are «very standard» and tried to convince me that I would have needed to do those alterations with a smaller size anyway. Of course, I do not have the smaller version of the same dress so I cannot say for sure, but I am quite convinced if I did need to get alterations done with a smaller dress, I would not have needed alterations in as many different places, which increased the cost for me. It’s not like a larger size just means that the dress is wider – the dress is longer and hits in different places. Each place that needs to be adjusted is another cost…
When I explained that I was wrongly convinced about the dress being too big, they reminded me that I signed to authorize the purchase.
4) For those ordering a custom dress:
If you are ordering a dress from a company that takes custom measurements, ask about prices for doing that. It might make more sense to order a dress based on your measurements, unless you expect to gain or lose a lot of weight. They hide this option from you so you are more likely to get alterations!
Think about it – would you rather have a dress made to fit your body exactly, or a standard dress that does not? When I asked why this wasn’t done for my dress since I was doing a custom order and requesting for a custom size would have added a minimal charge relative to alterations, they said that they never recommend this to their customers since people’s body sizes change. What a weak argument – isn’t that true of standard sizes as well?
In sum, I am very disappointed that this boutique is not transparent to their customers about hidden costs!!! I think it is quite unethical. The only reason they get two stars instead of one is because they do have a nice selection and the assistants are nice.

I wasn’t measured for my dress… the size was guessed based on the sample dress. The dress that was ordered did not fit me when I came in to pick it up. I ended up having to go with another choice since there was not enough time to get my first pick. It was one of their sample dresses. Alterations were done in house free of charge and it was supposed to be cleaned. The alternations were so poor that I could hardly speak when I tried it on. I just got the dress and left. (I only had 6 weeks until my wedding and was ready to move on).
I ended up having someone else do my alternations. (I called a very expensive wedding dress shop and got a referral). The person that redid my alternations pointed out that the dress was dirty… I was so upset about the way it was lying on my hips and did not fit around my chest that I didn’t noticed. She hand washed it for free as she felt so sorry for me.
Nice customer service and a good selection for people on the budget but it did not make up for the all trouble.
I wouldn’t tell someone not to go here, I would just tell them to make sure they are properly measured and find someone good to do your alternations.

I live in San Diego, CA, but all my family is in the Dallas area. I went to visit a few months after getting engaged and, because my mom would not be able to be in San Diego with me for dress shopping, we decided to go to a bridal salon so I could try on dresses just for fun.
I had not tried on dresses before, and I thought I had an idea of what I liked. As a side note: I ended up not even liking what I thought I wanted once I saw the style on me. Lauren helped me out and she was great to work with: super helpful and patient. I did not fee rushed or pushed for a dress at any point during the appointment. My family and Lauren both picked out dresses for me to try.
A few dresses in, I tried on the San Patrick Calais dress (which Lauren had actually added to the fitting room). That was it. I knew as soon as I put it on that I loved that dress and felt like that would be the dress I’d be walking down the aisle in. As a note, I tried on dresses ranging from $ 600-​$ 1500.
I decided to visit a few bridal salons in San Diego before committing to THE dress. I went to a few larger wedding stores, as well as a nice designer wedding boutique in Del Mar. I thought I may just order the dress from a nearby salon because it seemed more convenient. However, I did not get the same warm, happy, OMG I’M GETTING MARRIED feeling at any other boutique I visited. So, I decided to just order the dress through the Dallas boutique and have it shipped out to San Diego.
I ordered my dress in September. It arrived in Dallas in December, and a week later I received in San Diego. I could not be more excited and I would definitely recommend visiting Lasting Bridal Couture if you are in teh market for a wedding dress and a great experience. Lauren was super helpful through the whole process (all the back and forth emailing to finalize everything), and I can’t wait to wear my dress in June of next year!

Like many of the other reviewers here, I also tried wedding dresses at 3 different shops in the Addison area. Lasting Bridal Couture was by FAR the most welcoming and accommodating salon with a seriously great selection of dresses. I needed a plus size dress and had major reservations about being able to find anything. Sarah was my attendant, and she was incredibly sweet and listened to my input about each dress. I bought my dress here and was even able to order lace from the designer (through the shop) to sew a bolero jacket.
