Skyline Trapeze

If you’re reading this review and considering a trapeze class, do not hesitate. This is an exhilarating experience you will not regret!
First, let me say that I was impressed by their customer service before we even visited. After several e-​mails, which were all answered promptly, I decided to book a private class for my sister’s bachelorette party. Unfortunately, all of their morning slots were already taken. We had evening activities already planned and a specific date, so I asked if they might offer a discount if I buy up the last remaining spots in their noon group class. To my surprise, Donovan actually offered to call the 2 people in the group class and ask them if they’re willing to move to the later class so we could still have a private party. I would have never asked a business to do this and I was beyond impressed. So we had our private party after all!
Next, we had a really close call with rain that day. I was eagerly watching the forecast all week and Donovan patiently entertained all of my «what if» e-​mails.
The day of the event, we had 7 ladies there and it turned out to be a perfectly sized class. Pulling up to the adjacent parking lot, I was suddenly in panic. It looks so high up and, well, I’m afraid of heights — really afraid. The 3 instructors put all of us in our harnesses — it will be uncomfortably tight at first but your body will adjust quickly. Then they went over rules and showed us how it will feel to lean forward to grab the bar.
Climbing up the ladder was the scariest part for me — my heart was pounding out of my chest as the woman above was giving me encouraging words. The first jump, I just hung on to the bar for dear life and tried to not black out. Then they had to cue me to let go three times before I did.
The adrenaline rush was unreal. Somehow, with all that excitement, I kept climbing back up that scary ladder (6 more times!) and doing everything they cued me to do.
By the end of the class, I was hanging upside down, doing back flips, and flinging my body toward a shirtless man — if that isn’t a good bachelorette party, I don’t know what is!
The sequence is very well planned and the staff works you up to the tricks in a very smart and encouraging manner.
Everyone in our group was able to work up to making the catch and everyone was thrilled with the experience!
Some things to know:
wear sunscreen
expect some scrapes and bruises
pants that cover the knees are more comfortable than shorts
don’t worry about being strong enough (a lot of this is momentum), but do expect that you will be sore the next day
be sure to take videos of each other — they will amaze and impress everyone, including yourself

My husband booked me a lesson as a surprise for my birthday. There was nothing on their website to indicate that a 3 month old pregnant woman would not be able to participate, in fact they state; «Our official policy is «If you can climb the ladder, we will let you fly!».
The safety harness that they use clinched tightly around the waist. It was only after signing the waiver that I realized it would be impossible to participate. There are many different kind of harnesses that they could have used, and if the one that they use is not appropriate for a pregnant woman, they should have stated this on their website.
Skyline offered me a credit to be used a year later after the birth of my baby etc, but I wanted a refund. Since they refused to issue this refund, I contacted my credit card company. At this point, Skyline Trapeze sent them the picture I had taken when signing my waiver, to try and state that I had already received service. Despite their policy of no refunds, I think it reasonable to expect that they make an exception to the rule, since they failed to state that it would be physically impossible for certain people to participate.
I have tried to contact the company numerous times, but their number always goes to voicemail, and they don’t respond to my messages.

Amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone looking to do something memorable and out of the ordinary! I am somewhat afraid of heights and the staff made me feel comfortable enough that I was able to do all the «tricks»! It’s exhilarating… and a bit addictive! I am definitely going back for more!

I highly recommend this place if you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to «run off and join the circus». They are truly professionals who talk you through every step of the way learning to fly on the trapeze. By the end of one session I had not only learned to fly and get my legs over the bar but how to be caught by a guy on the other trapeze. The staff is very encouraging and with them reinforcing your self esteem you find you really CAN do it. It was the most exhilarating experience I’ve had to date. You’re totally safe with a harness at all times as a beginner. The first thing they teach you is how to fall into the net and get out. I had so much fun and plan to sign up for more. I’m hooked!

My sisters-​in-​law got me a gift certificate for a class for my birthday. Trapeze was never something I had really thought about trying, but I’m so glad I went. It was so much fun! The staff at Skyline is very friendly and tailors their coaching to the skill level of each participant. By keeping the class sizes small (no more than 10 people in a 2-​hour class) it gives them the ability to coach different skill levels on different tricks and everyone has the opportunity to fly enough times to really work on their tricks. It was a great time and I would love to go back soon!

What an awesome experience. it was so professional yet fun. l brought two 14 year old daredevils who loved every minute of it. the staff were very knowledgable and patient as well as kind. it was a terrific experience and we are already booked for our next class.

I spent the past week flying at Skyline Trapeze each day while visiting Dallas. I’m a frequent flyer and was very happy with the level of coaching I received. I was even more impressed by the way the entire team handled beginner and first-​time students. They were consistently kind, encouraging, clear in their communications and FUN! Their obvious competence and dedication to safety put the beginners (and myself) at ease, and everyone I observed had a great experience and left exhilarated!
I can’t recommend Skyline Trapeze highly enough! Especially if you think you can’t, GO DO IT!

I just went this past Saturday with 2 friends and I’m about to try and get a private party booked with all the rest of my friends. I am an incredibly un-​athletic but crazy fun loving girl that loves to try everything. This was a must on my list and my friends and I are so glad we did it!!! I’ve never done anything like it and I hooked my legs on the bar the first try. So proud of me. So excited to book another class! Everyone should … won’t regret it!

I received this experience as a gift. It was a great experience. The instructors were great. I felt I got plenty of time to practice even though the class was 10 people. I look forward to dropping by again.

I took my sister here to celebrate her birthday since we are both always up for a little adventure and trying something new! We had a great time flying and were surprised how much you can learn in & do in a two hour class. Staff was professional, helpful, and fun. Looking forward to returning soon!

My favorite thing I’ve ever done in Dallas!!! My husband and I went for our first times today and we will DEFINITELY be back! So much fun! Donovan, Jason, and Katie were so great! They tell you everything to expect before you even climb the ladder, then they give clear instructions every step of the way. I felt totally safe even though I was scared. In just 2 hours you get plenty of chances to swing. I learned how to hang from my knees, a seated release, a back flip release, and a grab! All in the first lesson! That’s a heck of a bargain if you ask me! Thank you so much Skyline Trapeze!!!

I heard about this place while working and decided that for my 32^nd birthday this is what I wanted to do. So my boyfriend who is an amazing, wonderful, & such a selfless person that, took me!!! He was hesitant at first, but by the end of the class was so glad he agreed. We’re ready to go again! The staff was awesome! Thanks Donovan, Katie, & Jason :-) WHAT a great experience. By the way he actually did way better than me. He looked like he has done this before. Maybe… lol

A fabulous school for beginners and returners alike. I fly at many different rigs around the country, and this is one of my favorites. The rig itself just «feels right», it’s set up really nicely and everyone that works there is awesome. As someone who flies as often as possible, Donovan and Katie could both tell that I love to fly and just want to improve, and were both incredible helpful with their tips and advice.
Buy a T shirt, it’ll make you look cooler at your next class. :)

My friend from out of town came in so I decided to take her here to give us something fun to do that you can’t do in small cities. What a great idea! It was a lot fun, the instructors were great, and it’s affordable. We had a blast!

Disclaimer: I’m super afraid of heights so anything that gets me to jump off a 30-​ft ledge is 5 stars in my book.
The staff was professional and friendly. They walk you through everything with great directions. They also work with you on modifications depending on your body type. Shout outs to Donovan, Katie and Jayson for being patient with us!
The set up is simple and at all times there were two people who watched you — one to get you hooked up and set up on the bar and then the other to man the ropes to keep you from flying all around. Then everything that you do will be called out by someone on staff and just follow the instructions and you’ll have a ton of fun!
*Note they are in north Dallas and no longer in Dallas city proper SO type in 15 505 Wright Brothers Dr into your phone and not Skyline Trapeze since Google and iOS maps still take you to the old location.

It is official, I have flown with Skyline for over a year now and have loved it every single time! The staff is always great, tons of fun, safe and professional. They make anyone comfortable and everyone has a great time, even spectators. Gotta check them out!

Are you looking for a new challenge? I certainly was! I decided to spend one of my week nights soaring through the sky via trapeze to get in touch with my inner circus gal. It was a rush!
The team is very supportive, and you feel safe (harness and safety net). You can order great videos or images to brag about your experience to friends (proof!). And it it another thing to cross off the olé bucket list.
I am looking forward to returning and trying new tricks with each trip!

Skyline Trapeze is truly amazing! Whether you’re a DFW visitor, or a current Dallas resident, this is truly an experience you don’t want to miss. The friendly staff will make sure you know exactly what you’re doing, and you’ll always feel safe. I would recommend it to anyone!
