Smooth Movin

I stopped by the office just to rent a truck for my move and I hesitated when Steve asked if I wanted to hire the movers as well. I told him I would get back to him, and after thinking about how much I had to move, I decided it was a good choice. WOW! Was I glad I did. These guys were ready to go when I arrived to pick up the truck. They were quick and efficient. They were careful with my furniture and machines. They were even able to (successfully) move my piano-​this was a real plus for me as several other times I have moved it, I paid a moving company specializing in pianos and paid almost as much for just that as I did for this entire move. That being said, I feel the cost was very reasonable, well worth the money.

WOW says it all. These guys are great. They fit me into their schedule with less than 24 hours notice. They arrived on time the next day and went straight to work. Everything was wrapped in blankets and plastic. Nothing was broken or damaged. They packed my furniture into the cargo area like they were making a puzzle. There was no space left between anything — so nothing could shift and cause damage. Everyone should call these guys first and last. Smooth Movin’ made this move a whole lot less stressful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I called these guys only a few days before a Saturday move and they were still able to fit us in. Steve answered the phone & was courteous, professional and gave us an exact estimate followed up by an email confirmation (not like several of their ruder competitors). My credit card number was taken, but nothing was charged until after the move. We moved from a 2^nd-​floor apt in Elgin to a 2^nd-​floor condo in Carol Stream. Arriving right on schedule, 3 extremely polite young men introduced themselves and began immediately working non-​stop, hauling out large pieces of furniture and many, many boxes. They took care to do it right. Every piece was shrink-​wrapped, and they even hauled several garbage bags of soft items down to their truck. Despite their speed, the move took longer than the planned 3 hours, and so we paid $ 115 extra. But I have no complaints: nothing was lost, misplaced or damaged, and I couldn’t ask for a better moving experience or team. Definitely recommend to anyone.

This review comes a couple months late, but with the time that’s passed I wanted to make sure to say how amazing these guys are. I was moving from IL to AZ, and we had smooth movin do our truck load. We have moved around way too much in the past, and have always expected a certain about of headaches no matter how good the company is. Smooth Movin was a pleasure to deal with, the guys were SO nice and helpful, and they truly care about your things getting to the next home safely. I was nervous when we got to AZ because our last move lots of our furniture was damaged from the truck not being loaded properly. Not one thing was broken when these guys loaded us. We had not one single issue. I would recommend these guys 100%, and if I had stayed in the area I would only use them!!! Maybe they can open a second location in AZ :)

This was the first time that I had to move and Smooth Movin made the move very easy. The guys showed up early and loaded my stuff in record time. I literally didn’t have to lift a finger. They were gently with all of my fragile things and didn’t put a scratch on anything. When it came to loading my furniture into my new place they were just as effective and put everything exactly where I wanted it. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who needs help moving. Thanks again Smooth Movin, that move really was smooth!

Very appropriately named! Smooth and efficient. They were punctual and got the work done in record time! I already recommended then to my family and would definitely recommend them to anybody looking to move with professional movers at a very reasonable price too. And believe me I did call a lot of places! UHaul in Lombard recommended them and I am glad I stuck with them! Nathan and Ian did an awesome job! Thanks guys! I will definitely be calling them if I ever move next!

I have relied on Smooth Movin to move my family, friends, and co-​workers for the past couple of years. I am not the easiest person to please when it comes to customer service satisfaction. Having said that, Smooth Movin has by far exceeded all expectations I could have ever set!
They not only did they do a great job moving my family twice in the past couple of years but they have also moved several family members, friends, and co-​workers from as close to across town to as far as across country. These guys have a way of taking what can be an unpleasant and sometimes difficult day and turning it into a somewhat enjoyable experience. Their attitudes were great and there was no such thing as «we can’t» it was always «we will figure out a way!»
I would recommend these guys to anyone looking for a great moving experience!

These guys deserve 10 stars! They were awesome today. We couldn’t of had a better move (even with snow). My husband trusted them with the tv and I’m not even allowed to move the tv. LOL If you don’t use them than you missing out on good people.

These guys priced us well under the rest of the quotes we got so we were a little iffy at first. Once they showed up (on perfect time) we weren’t altogether ready for them but they got to work right away. They were direct, honest and nice guys. Everything went Smooth! Give these guys a shout if you need a moving company in the Chicago area, they’re a great company!

My fiancé and I used Smooth Movin’ for our move 3 weeks ago. They were right on time at 8am at my place, loaded up my both of our apartments, and were done moving us into our new place by 2pm. Both guys were friendly and efficient, and the cost was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Smooth Movin’ for your next move!
