The visions of a young technical entrepreneur and successfull corporate VP come together to finally offer the public a service that doesn’t care where they bought their A/​V equipment, but only that it be installed the right way.

In a country where home technology is rapidly commoditizing, the true value is finding someone who can give you un-​biased guidance and recommendations for your next technology purchase. We decided that we would support those recommendations by sending a «Connector» to your home to make sure the product actually performed like we told you it would.

With the advent of the Internet, finding the best deal on the equipment is becoming less of a challenge, but finding the technical wizard who can speak plain english, and then back it up with installation skill in your living room is rare. Typically these technical wizards can only be found in High-​End boutique type stores… Not anymore, and now we come to you!

A natural tinkerer with an entrprenerial spirit, Kirk was the kid who at 16 was the one leaving his job at the local big box electronic store to travel to customers homes in order to make their technology purchases «behave». A business soon emerged, years before home technology installation services were even available in retail stores. Rather than keep his technology skills to himself he was keen on teaching others how to tame home technology and a legion of skilled «Connectors» were born. Tech Connectors is a company with a culture focused 100% on education of its people with a policy of «Do It Right». TechConnectors now serves over 5000 customers a year in 3 states.

Tech Connectors is an appointment setter. They do not have their own installation personnel. Instead, they subcontract out all of their jobs. Any positive reviews of this business are meaningless as it is the luck of the draw in terms of who Tech Connectors hires to do your job.
The guys TC sent out to install my TV were generally fine, although the installation was needlessly messy: no dropcloths, failure to remove drywall dust from bracket, no vacuuming after the install. The appointment setter I dealt with was not always easy to contact and scheduling a date was unnecessarily protracted.
Less than 2 weeks after sending me an invoice for the job, Tech Connectors threatened to send me to a collections agency for failure to pay. I found that to be outrageous. If the company was so strapped for cash they should have required payment at the time of the installation.
If you want to be treated with respect and know who will be handling your install, do not choose Tech Connectors.

I recently moved to a new condo and the only place for my flatscreen was an alcove over my fireplace. I have a 50″ plasma and wanted it installed on an articulating arm so it wouldn’t be your ‘basic’ installation.
After reading positive reviews, I gave Tech Connectors a call. I told the person who answered that I wanted to speak with someone about an install for my 50″ plasma to determine if there were any modifications I might need to make to the existing alcove where the TV would be mounted.
She transferred me to speak with one of their install specialists. Got his voicemail and left a message with the background information and asking him to call me. Left the message around noon and didn’t hear back that day. Didn’t hear back the next day either.
By the time 48 hours had passed, I was a bit annoyed. Then thought that perhaps I had somehow transposed numbers in my phone number when I left the message and that’s why I hadn’t heard back from them. Called again, repeated the whole process and left a voicemail message for a different person.
Same result — never heard back from them. In the meantime, a tech from another company came out, looked at my setup and had a quote back to me within 48 hours. I’ll file a report on my experience with that business after my installation a couple of days.

These guys did a great job overall. Their wall-​mounting package included a mounting bracket, but worked with me to upgrade to a nicer, fully articulating mount. There was some difficulty threading the wires in the wall between the studs which required them to cut an additional hole in the wall to work the cables around. I was really happy to see that the installer did a great job minimizing the size of the cut and he also did a great job repairing the hole and even spackled the patch. I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone looking to mount their TV on the wall. They were polite and helpful both on the phone and in person.

I had a very pleasurable experience with the services provided by TechConnectors. Just like Dan R. reviewed earlier, I found them on the web and they were on their A game immediately.
I was given various options with more than enough information to make a knowledgeable decision with the Sales rep came out to look at my setup. I had some old equipment that I needed to upgrade and they helped me locate a great deal on both speakers and receiver, so that was a pleasant surprise.
Like most, they did have equipment I could have purchased through them but they allowed me to buy my own as long as it was to spec as we planned out.
They guys were rock solid and very professional and so far no problems with my home theater setup so far!

These guys did a heck of a job working with me and installing my plasma and Yamaha sound bar, as well as an HD TIVO and DVD player. I found these guys through the Web and they were on their game from the get go. Michael Hornickel was great, answered all my questions clearly and concisely and pushed back when I was probably suggesting the wrong things. They also allowed me to buy my own materials including HDMI cables. In the end, Tech did the following:
1.) Adjusted mount on fireplace
2.) Installed mount for Yamaha soundbar
3.) Installed TV and Soundbar
4.) Took off existing component mount
5.) Installed two new mounts
6.) Installed IR repeater which allowed components to be rotated around corner
7.) Installed in wall HDMI cabling
Michael was great, and so were the 2 people that came to do the work (sorry I forgot their names) They called to let me know they were running a bit behind (but they arrived well within their time window) and came in, did a great job and cleaned up all the dust and packaging.
I would really recommend these guys. They were great.

It wasn’t until yesterday that my husband felt at home in our new condo. Why, you ask? His big ass plasma was finally installed… thanks to the Technology Connectors!
Being the technotard that I am and not really caring much about TVs (as long as I have something to watch my Greys Anatomy on I’m happy) I let my hubby handle the mounting the TV on the wall details.
My husband quickly discovered that Tech Connectors had deals with Costco (his home away from home) and started chatting with a sales associate, Michael, there. Michael gave him very good advice on installing the TV, as well as his new stereo system that may just cost more than my entire purse collection (and I spend a lot of $ on purses!). Michael also helped him figure out the best way to build shelves for the dvd player and tivo since we didn’t have any need for an entertainment system on the wall.
After a few weeks of emails over these very important matters 2 guys from tech connectors showed up and put together our brand new entertainment system! My husband was thrilled with the results (i haven’t been able to move him from the couch ever since) and I have to admit the TV/​stereo system looks very pretty mounted over the fire place. Who needs art work when you’ve got a kick ass entertainment system?
