VIATAS Chauffeured Transportation

This company is terrible with regard to customer service and loyalty. I have been a customer since 2009 or quite likely longer (a 2009 email confirmation is the oldest one I was able to locate). I have booked probably 30 rides or more in that period. Yesterday I booked a limo to Ohare and had them meet me at a car dealership where I was dropping my car for service. I was 15 minutes late due to unexpected traffic. I called as a courtesy to alert them and was told there would be a surcharge for the wait time. I complained but when the receipt came the surcharge of $ 20 had been added. This is the first time I’ve ever been late for one of their cars. Ever. Even if I am entirely in the wrong, who loses a loyal customer over $ 20??? This reflects very poorly on this company, especially in an area where there is ample competition. I cancelled my return limo and re-​booked with a company that has received much higher ratings on Unilocal.So long, Viatas. You won’t have to worry about my late arrival ever again.

I’ve been using Viatas on and off for the past 25 years. They have merged multiple limo services together like Arlington limo which I also used to use back in the late 90s. Recently, last year or so they have made significant changes in the quality of the cars and the drivers are very professional. The texting service is also a nice addition. I use them a lot, so sure there are some off days, but overall I’d recommend them to anyone.

Very poor service — continuing to decline recently. Additionally, rude and unprofessional administrative staff. Done with them.

Viatas is my employer’s preferred Vendor and they try hard to keep it that way it seems (I’m just a low level user so I have no idea about the relationship, only that the customer service I receive is excellent).
I have used them for several rides to and from O’Hare and have always liked the arrangements, the car, and the driver. It’s always a pleasant ride.
Recently I arranged a ride for 13 people going downtown for an evening and Viatas had the best package I could find, the best agents (Kathy and the other lady), a great Sprinter van and a kind and flexible driver (Alex). It really made for a smooth evening.
Their systems also work fine– integrated with American Express Travel and I always get an email with the itinerary.
Definitely recommended.

I was referred to Viatas’ wedding limo service through my wedding reception venue. I did not find many reviews on them but took a leap of faith simply based on my communications with the owner’s daughter, Anne Rae. As I told her this morning, I have never experienced such wonderful customer service. Beginning with her very prompt replies to my emails or phone calls, and ending with our very cool driver Tony who seemed to be a part of our celebration from the church to the reception. Both of these people exuded class and professionalism, yet made me feel like they had a personal stake in my wedding that went well beyond getting paid. (And I do not mean to leave out my husband’s driver from his home to the church… I just forgot his name, which is terrible! He also was really great to my husband and his family.) We had a fully stocked bar (no plastic cups here! beautiful crystal glasses), and Tony made it a point to pop the champagne at the church right before we got in the limo. He figuratively (and literally!!!) rolled out the red carpet for us. Their prices were definitely competitive and AnneRae apologized when she realized she had forgotten to give us off-​season pricing (no biggie, but the honesty and fix was greatly appreciated!).
Special shout out to Tony for dealing with two over-​sugared fist-​pumping flower girls… I noticed him glance back a few times as they banged into the glassware, but he was always very kind to the girls. THANK YOU!!!
