Agawam’s Java Stop

I stopped into Java Stop today after hearing about it on a best coffee shops in MA list. If you like unique, flavored lattes this is the place to go! They had about 20+ flavors available hot, iced, or frozen style. I tried a latte with real peanut butter and chocolate, iced, and it was extremely tasty. It came with sweet little chocolate coffee bean too. For regular coffee drinkers they offer Pierce Brothers and Death Wish Coffee (extra caffeine). There was a variety of muffins and pastries as well. My husband ordered a coffee roll that was approximately the size of my toddler’s head. This is a small café with only five or so seats total so it isn’t really a place to spend a relaxing day, but they do have a bench outside as well. Parking is fairly ample and shared with a gardening center and ice cream stand.

I have been driving by for years and I finally made a pit stop today. Great coffee selection and you also get the choice of milk/​soy and lactaid. The girls are very nice and way better thank Dunkin or Starbucks. They also put a little chocolate expresso bean on your cup how sweet!

We went to Agawam’s Java Stop for the first time today. The employees were extremely nice and were able to help us figure out what we would like from their very large menu. They have a great selection of specialty drinks that’s sure to please anyone. I got their «Mixed Up Mocha» which is chocolate and white mocha. It was a fantastic combo that I will definitely come back for. If you haven’t been there, do yourself a favor and stop by. The service was great and so were the drinks!

I am starting with three stars because it was my first visit here and plan on returning a couple more times. At that point i will either deduct or add stars. I had dark roast coffee on my initial visit. Excellent choice, not bitter at all.
Place is a little small inside but offer some baked goods. From what i saw these «baked goods» looked like the run of the mill donuts.
Hopefully i am wrong but i will look a little better next time i am there.

Craig and company are AWESOME! Great coffee!!! Ask Sam to make you an egg sandwich! Great place to sit and relax over great conversation while drinking your coffee. Everyone leaves happy!

Went her for the 1^st time today. It is by far one of the best cups of coffee I have had in a long time. This coffee shop might make me want to move to town so I can get a cut every day.

Cute little shop. Decent drinks made with good quality ingredients. With some practice their lattes could probably rival starbucks.

This place is wonderful. The staff is warm and willing to accommodate whatever you need/​want. The coffee is delicious and there are options beyond options of specialty drinks. The space is filled with artwork and cute signs (some of which are for sale and are legitimately MADE OF COFFEE). It embodies the cozy little coffee shop that everyone is always looking for.

If I were to never venture outside of Agawam I would probably give this place a solid 4 stars. While it’s good for the area, it doesn’t compete with places like The Roost or Esselon café for coffee (I’m only comparing the drink selection at these places). It does get donuts from Mrs Murphy’s Donuts which is miles ahead of Dunkin Donuts, and it has a pretty decent selection of coffee flavors to choose from. They have an expansive menu of specialty drinks as well, which I’ve yet to really explore, if it’s good it could bump this place up to a 4 star.
The most notable thing about this place is the staff. I’ve only been twice, but each time I was super impressed by how friendly they were. Oftentimes I feel people at these establishments are polite in a cursory manner (just nice enough to move onto the next customer). I genuinely felt welcome here which is nice.
Bottom Line: If a local I would give this place a shot, definitely better than your average Starbucks’s or Dunkin Donuts with the added benefit of supporting a local business. If you venture out to Northampton for coffee, you may not be blown away but sometimes convenience beats out performance.

By far this is the Best coffee shop around! Choose a specialty from the board or ask create your own from their seemingly unlimited supply of flavors. They even have plain old fresh brewed coffee for the common folk.

Delicious coffee at a reasonable price. Excellent customer service — the employees are always friendly and seem to go above and beyond to make sure that you’re happy. Love stopping in here any time I’m in Western Mass!

This place was great, the guy behind the counter was very nice and engaging and his neice was just as nice. The apple fritter I had was probaby the best I’ve ever had and the regular coffee was good. The place was nice and clean, quite and enjoyable, will be stopping by every time I pass. Want to try one of the lattes, they sound so good.

Great little independent coffee shop in a wasteland of Starbucks a Dunkin Donuts. Truly delicious coffee and flavors that put the a fore mentioned to shame. Not to mention amazing snacks to accommodate their terrific wares. If you haven’t been here before, do yourself a favor and bask in the ambiance of this deliciousness.

Excellent service and friendly atmosphere. The art is cute as well. The drink possibilities are endless and use real ingredients to flavor. I was very impressed! :)

Java stop is one of my favorite coffee places! Although it is about 20 minutes from my house, I drive at least 3 times a week just to get some Java! The employees are ALL so welcoming and kind.

Excellent coffee and friendly service! Prices were exactly what I would expect for the quality of both product and service. A large flavored latte and an English muffin was around $ 5. I will definitely be back!

Great service, great cofee… recess peanut butter was amazing!!! They have a different flavor for you to try every Sunday morning for an entire year!!!

I’m truly shocked and impressed by Agawam’s Java Stop. Did Disney produce this place, cause it’s like a fairy tale! (ha ha good one holly) But seriously, the place is fantastic. They’re doing everything right and I would more than recommend you try them out, I urge you! I previously read great things about this coffee shop and have been really wanting to try them ever since but 25 minutes is a bit of a drive for just a coffee. Today I finally made the trip and it was absolutely worth it, I even ordered something that usually is not so much to my liking (their special of the day with white chocolate, raspberry and amaretto). I was intrigued by the amaretto but usually white chocolate and raspberry are a little too sweet for me. This was amazing! Yes it was still a little too sweet for my personal taste but I have NO doubt that if I had asked, they could have personalized it for me. Also, there were several selections on the menu that were more my typical taste which I absolutely can’t wait to try!
Moving on, also extremely important was the atmosphere and staff. The place is small but very cute and very clean. There were three staff members behind the counter when I entered and I was greeted warmly by two while receiving a friendly smile from the third. In fact I made eye contact with him maybe twice more and each time I got a nice smile, this was highly appreciated. I’m a bit of a nervous nelly and can be intimidated at times, but I felt nothing but welcome. Thank you.

*I had to edit this because I forgot to add what I was really, really impressed with! I already mentioned the staff was great but to add the cherry on top, I found that I didn’t have any cash to tip them with (which was embarassing for me) but I still received all star treatment even walking out the door. You can’t train people to be so happy and kind, I think these people really love what they do :)*

The java stop is my favorite place to stop for coffee! The only downside to it is that it isn’t closer to my house, but my roommate and I make it a point to get over there every weekend.
They have an endless assortment of flavors for specialty coffees, and their signature flavor combinations never disappoint, and they’re served with a small helping of chocolate covered espresso beans on top, which add a lovely extra touch. They serve Pierce Bros. for regular hot coffee, which happens to be one of my favorites! On top of that they have delicious baked goods (Mrs. Murphy’s), and tasty breakfast sandwiches.
The staff is always so friendly and helpful, and it’s always so nice that they remember me, even though I don’t get there as often as I’d like to. The specialty beverages take a few minutes extra to make, but be patient because they’re worth the wait!

Absolutely one of the best coffee shops I’ve been to! Stumbled on this place going somewhere else and found a local gem! Great staff, cool pastries and extras. Not the fastest but only because they take time to make it right! Love love love!
