Bennett’s Best Christmas Trees

Bought a Christmas tree that seemed very fresh (a Nordmann) and within a week and a half it lost half of it’s needles. Called the owner (very nice lady who said I could return it for one that would last. Unfortunately, the second (a noble) was only a week in before the needles turned dry on several branches, and once again the needles fell off in droves… I called again on Christmas eve to at least let the folks know that I got burned twice here. We have bought trees many times in the past and never experienced this before… The owner the second time wasn’t very helpful .we’ve always had live trees at Christmas time and know how to care for them by keeping them well watered and not near heat etc… and am saddened that the owner wasn’t more understanding .I basically had to ask for a discounted tree next year but after already returning one tree only to get a second that fell apart, don’t know if I should even bother… always want to give business to local companies… advice would be helpful…

When I finally settled on the perfect tree after 20 minuetes the gentlemen that helped me were professional and helpful. They even gave me fresh slices of stump from my tree which needed to be made shorter! I do feel like the price point was TOO high. I think 25 or 30 bucks for a stand is a bit much. my five foot tree was 90 $. Overall I feel that this place has good customer service and a nice selection of trees.

Came here expecting a very crowded shopping experience with little to no help from the staff but that was not the case. I was greeted right away and was assisted in picking out a tree. They measure there trees with a long stick and according to which color it falls in determines the price. I thought the price was a bit steep but its understandable I guess considering the area. They tied the tree to my car and sent me on my way! I recommend this place if price is not a factor.

This is my second year getting a Christmas tree and I love it here!!! My tree last year lasted so long. The employees were great also and so helpful!!! They had so many beautiful Christmas trees this year.

STAY AWAY FROM BENNETT’S BEST CHRISTMAS TREE’S FARM!!!
Had the most appalling experience buying a tree last night. In a nutshell we purchased a 4ft tree listed as $ 27. When we drove away I noticed on the receipt they charged us $ 27, voided it then charged $ 56 without us realizing it. Returned and spoke to regional manager who brushed me off as he ran out the back and directed me to a toothless old man smoking cigarettes on the lot. I pleaded my case and he flat out refused to offer any reasonable resolution because the tree measured 1inch over 4ft so I had to pay double the price (however he also argued that $ 56 wasn’t twice as much as $ 27). In the beginning I pointed to a group of small trees and said, what size are those? He replied 3−4ft which were the $ 27 trees. I said, that is where I got my tree from… he replied, I mean those are 5ft. In fact he was unbelievably rude and spoke to me like a child, insulted me and threatened to call the cops.
During our exchange he said these things to me:
«I am not putting up with your nonsense»
«I don’t care what you do about it»
«you are psycho»
«Ill give you your money back and sell it to someone else for the same price»
«I just want to refund you and get you out of here»
«Get off my lot»
«I am calling the cops»
It was terrible. I stood there waiting for a refund because he could not even operate the cashier and no one else was around the help. In the end I left with my $ 56 4ft tree because my family waiting in the car. I felt so sick over the entire ordeal and it completely ruined what should have been a merry night for our little family. The manners of this avaricious operation are disgusting. Merry Christmas to you sir.

First time here, won’t return. First of all, prices are a bit too high. They offered to help me load the tree on the car (appreciate the intention). My understanding was that they were gonna use a plastic cover, which they had right by the entrance. After they loaded the tree, I noticed that they just put it on top of the roof without anything underneath. I expressed my concern about the fact that the tree could scratch the top of the car, the guy reassured me that it won’t happen and that they do it all the time. When we got home the roof of the car was scratched all over. Not good.

Very bad experience at this lot. They have a noble fir for $ 149.00 & Home Depot has the same noble fir for $ 80, when I asked if they price match with Home Depot I was treated so rudely that I was in shock. According to the rude lady that assisted us I was made to feel «how could I ask such a question?» their selection was terrible & their service even worse. Left & went to Stu Miller lot on TO & brought home a beautiful 9ft tree that was price matched with Home Depot & amazing service.

I love their Christmas trees that’s the only thing keeping this review at 2 stars. However, I visited this location for pumpkins last week and looked around for about 10 minutes looking for prices of the pumpkins. I expected some kind of price range to be listed by size of the pumpkin, as they do the same for their Christmas trees, and found none. Before being helped by the lady at the booth, I witnessed her step out of the booth and look at the pumpkins of the customer ahead of me in line. She then proceeded to «eyeball» the price of a medium sized pumpkin and say, «Call it twenty.»
UHH $ 20 bucks for a medium sized pumpkin that weighs no more than 15 lbs?! Outrageous. It immediately shocked me and I quickly exited the premises. I think it’s wrong and unfair to not list prices of pumpkins. I wasted 20 mins trying to find the prices and waiting in line, but if they had had the common courtesy to list their prices it would have saved my time.
Save your time and find a market or another pumpkin patch. I found pumpkins at the Vons in Agoura Hills for $ 7.99 and twice the size of the one the lady «eyeballed.»

Store hours are till 9pm. Got here at 8:25pm, all lights still on and they said they were closed. It’s December 1^st… And your closed an hour early? All employees would not accommodate myself or the 5 car loads of additional customers that pulled in the parking lot right after me.
When I asked if they could still sell me a tree because their hours are listed as open until 9pm, they said «why didn’t you come earlier?» In a very catty tone. Umm if I could have come earlier I WOULD have. What a stupid question!
You’d think they would update the store hours. This is Unilocal!So to those of you searching for Christmas trees on Sundays, they are CLOSED at 8pm. Unilocal hours are wrong.

This was my first year (at least since I was a little kid) getting a real tree. We popped over to the closest lot, which happened to be Bennett’s Best. They were so helpful and friendly. The sales guy even gave us a few pointers when looking for a tree, as well as how to get maximum life out of it. We would definitely go back.

Warm, friendly people, great tree selection, several price classes make this a great spot to buy your tree.
We had a great experience with a young & motivated salesperson (maybe 11 years old) who helped us pick a tree, load it up, and make sure his mom checked us out correctly. We didn’t feel rushed and would recommend this to friends and family.
