History

Established in 1989.

Evolution Audio and Video was founded in 1989 by two men and their unending passion for high-​end, high-​quality audio and video systems. Its founder’s, Leon and Jay Frank, are true audio/​video iconoclasts whose main goal is to design the finest custom home systems for a discerning clientele. The key to Evolution Audio and Video’s tremendous success is that Leon and Jay have assembled a top-​notch team of experienced sales consultants, licensed installers, and a stellar line up of premium electronics such as Sony, Meridian, Sim2, Epson, Martin Logan, GoldenEar, Krell, Cambridge Audio, PS Audio, Stewart Filmscreens, Triad Speakers, Arcam, Integra, Kaleidescape and many, many more, which truly define the cutting-​edge in home entertainment. Business Owner

Jay was one of the first proponents of multi-​channel surround sound during the early Seventies. After writing numerous articles on quadraphonic sound, he boldly predicted that multi-​channel audio would someday be used with video for in-​home use. Evolution was first conceived during these early years and garnered many members from around the globe. He pioneered the first laserdisc video store that specialized in high-​end sound and front screen projection systems.

When he’s not at work (and sometimes when he is), Jay enjoys running. He has participated in numerous events from 5k’s to full Marathons and Ultra-​Marathons. Amazingly he’s still alive.
