Freshest Chinese food I’ve ever had. The steamed dumplings were handmade and bursting with flavor. Both the steamed chicken and veggies as well as the chow fun were light and delicious. If you’ve never tried scallion pancakes you’ll definitely want to treat yourself to an order of these, they were crispy, fresh and are hard to find elsewhere.

This place is really great. I can’t believe it’s taken us so long to discover it! Hot & Sour Soup, Kung Pao Chicken, Pork Preserved Mustard Greens Noodle soup, and Steamed Pork with Preserve Mustard Greens are all excellent. This is our new go-to Chinese takeout restaurant. I recommend takeout. The dining room is small and not all that cozy… The hospitality is fantastic though. Family run with excellent food, service, and prices, Recommended!

Being Chinese, it is hard for me to find a restaurant with authentic Chinese dishes that not only taste like homemade but also rare to find. They have very authentic and delicious Chinese food. They also have some off menu special items that you can try.

Just discovered this place and what a gem! My friend had the chicken and corn soup which I tasted — it was so sweet and delicious. I had hot and sour soup(you can choose pork or vegetarian, I chose veg), very good. The vegetables in spicy garlic sauce,(i omitted the baby bok choy), is just fabulous! Service is great and the family is so nice. I will definitely be back to try more dishes!

I have to go to Chinese restaurants with my Chinese friends because they can order off the Chinese menu. I recommend: –pork, preserved mustard green with rice cake — the rice cakes were just the right texture and the mustard greens had just a little bite to make this a fresh delicious dish –Ants on the Tree — this would be good by itself as noodle soup but it was good with rice –basil eggplant with tofu — if you like eggplant, this is a delicious preparation I don’t recommend: –scallion pancakes — as other reviewers have pointed out are greasy(go to Mandarin Deli in Northridge for those). –basil chicken in clay pot — is better at Hunan in Westlake and you get a bigger portion there.

This place gets 4 stars from me. Probably my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area, highlighted by huge portions and cheap prices. I recommend the beef noodle soup(on the secret Chinese menu) or the beef and broccoli. This place is small, but it seems most people just order take out, and there are normally tables open. Restroom is in the back and is kind of inconvenient to use, and not easily accessible.

Great food, reasonably priced, not too salty, large portions. Our new ‘go-to’ take out Chinese. One of the best in the area.

Great restaurant, great Chinese food! I have been to this place three times now and every time it tastes amazing. I live in Los Angeles and whenever I am in Agoura Hills, I have to visit this place because it is one of the best Chinese restaurants I have enjoyed in the LA area. Special shout out to the family for cooking us food right before they closed last night.

I’ve been eating their food for a few years now. It’s our go-to Chinese place. We’ve always ordered to go. They are quick and food is usually ready in about 10 mins. Today, the family decided to dine in just to see how busy(or not) the place is. The food has always been consistent. It is good and authentic. They have a «special menu» for more authentic Chinese food. We ordered off that menu today and it did not disappoint. The sour mustard green was excellent. Not too sour and the pork belly was cooked well and not chewy. The flavor was excellent. Their crispy tofu with pork was crispy on the outside and buttery on the inside. Tofu has no flavor but the minced pork was salty to taste complimenting the tofu. The Szechuan chicken was not oily and the chicken was very tender. All had excellent flavoring and did not require any additional sauces. This restaurant is owned and operated by a couple with a young daughter. They work hard and take great effort in assuring the quality of their food. I’m glad they are keeping their food authentic and not too westernized. This was our first time dining in and the place was packed. I’m glad to see they are doing well. Customers were a mix of ethnicities. With so many other Chinese choices around, this is definitely the go-to place.

I have been coming here for the past two years. This time is has been disappointing. I ordered moo shu pork and they put in bean sprouts. This is a no no filler. The moo shu pork traditional ingredients — day lilies, black fungus and a fried egg were missing. Sad.

Never been disappointed. Delicious food, tasty soup, fast service. Sometimes their daughter(who’s little, like 10) helps seat people, take orders, bring menus, etc.:-)

Found this place on Unilocal and went for a birthday dinner. We were beyond impressed with how authentic this place was and how wonderful the service is. Super sweet host, waiter and waitress. This is a small family owned business and they know what they are doing. We saw regulars in there talking with the owners which is always a great thing to see at a restaurant. We got the appetizer combo, Kung Pao chicken, House soft noodles and beef with green beans. We all absolutely loved the beef with green beans. Great flavor!!! House soft noodles were fabulous too. I must say leftovers the next day tasted even better! This will be our new Chinese spot and we will be going back!

Have not been here yet but have hear great things. Called them this evening to place an order as they were closing. Was calling for a large group and we did not have our act together but she was still very. Ice and waited a bit and was still going to deliver for us anyway. Unfortunately we could not figure it out and all went home so my review will be continued in the next week or two. Stay tuned

Great authentic Chinese food! Spicy basil beef, scallion pancake, schezuan chicken, pork with mustard greens and rice cakes, and wonton soup are all delicious. Nice staff, cute place. Food is hot and fresh. Ask for the Chinese menu for additional choices.(It’s printed in English.)

Went in for lunch based on reviews from my fellow Unilocaler’s. Staff was very polite and efficient, which was much apprecia Not bad for SFV, but I think the food is better at Szechuan Palace on Kanan.

The Green Onion gets a below average score. It’s tiny, but somewhat cute — nice tables with cheap carpet. The service is pleasant and offered the minimum, and is in no way outgoing or friendly. 1. Green Onion Pancake($ 5.99) — very very greasy, and cut into small triangles. Now, I’ve had this at a few other places, and it was delicious. Here, very gummy. Sent back with no return.(1.5 stars) 2. Shrimp with Vegetables($ 8.25, lunch special) — nice and succulent shrimp with a plethora of mixed vegetables: broccoli, bok choy, water chestnuts, carrots, zucchini, baby corn, and green onions. Good taste, but very small portion.(4.0 stars) 3. BBQ Pork with Vegetables($ 7.95, lunch special) — quite good but shrimp was better, again, great assortment of veggies.(3.5 stars) Negatives: * The greasy green onion pancake * The fried rice was just brown with no egg/peas/carrots * The bathroom and the condition of the kitchen seemed 42 years old and unsanitary.

I don’t understand the hullabaloo about this place. Does a restaurant qualify to be a good one only on the basis of fresh ingredients? Or the fact that they don’t use MSG? or that the ambience is great? I don’t think so. I have only heard great things about this restaurant. Every time I would get bored of china garden which is A-class or schezwan place on Kanan which is out of this world, the only option would be green onion, so finally a couple weeks ago we decided to pick up some Chinese food. My wife was running errands that particular evening and we decided to try. My wife called me from the restaurant and loved the fact that it was tastefully done. This is one of the few places here that has 2 separate menus. American Chinese and the other one being authentic Chinese. This is a sign of a authentic Chinese restaurant or so I thought. For appetizers, We ordered dry spicy chicken. Which was excellent. Beautiful tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Beautiful peppercorn and other Chinese spice exploded as soon as I put them in my mouth. Just a word of caution, this dish has chicken with bones, but extremely flavorful. The chicken chowmein that I ordered for my son was bland. The chicken peices were big and soggy and the noodles were just about ok. The entire dish looked very disjointed to me. I could not see the integration of the veggies, their flavor to the noodle. My son being the chicken man that he is, ate away all the chicken without complaint, But left the noodle and the veggies. Sad! When I try new Chinese restaurants, I order food that is mostly idiot proof. Dishes that you cannot go wrong. I ordered the schezwan chicken fried rice. It looked delicious, to the point that I didn’t bother to transfer the food to my plate. I started off straight from the packet. Alas. What a disappointment. The rice was DRY. Just impossible to eat kinda dry. The taste was bland. Absolutely no flavor either from the spices or the chicken, I had to use water to push it down my throat. I was shattered. My wife ordered the shezwan chicken. It was just about ok. There is a thin line between spicy and spicy yet flavorful. This one clearly lacked the flavor. I don’t know how more than 2 dishes could go down south. I think it is probably because we ordered the food like at 530pm. Maybe the rice was taken straight from the pot and cooked? That happens. Very warm Rice full of steam could make a good dish awry. But the sauce was not too good either. And I cannot possibly find any rationalization for a disjointed chowmein. I don’t know if I will try again. Especially when I have fantastic choices for Chinese food around. Unfortunately, this restaurant did not work out for us.

Had the Szechuan fish and it was delicious. Loved that the dish had Shanghai bok Choy in it so I didn’t have to order another veggie dish. I didn’t pass their mandarin test so they fave me the standard menu. Had to ask for the separate menu wih had authentic Taiwanese and northern Chinese dishes. Will definitely be back.

Bringing a little San Gabriel Valley to the Conejo Valley. This place has an authentic assortment of Chinese dishes that I usually drive an hour to get. For my first time here, I got the pig ears and«Ants on the Tree?» I think that’s what it was called. The pig ears was the best I’ve ever had. Thinly sliced top with slivers of ginger and green onions. Goes perfectly over a bowl of fresh steam rice. The Ants on the tree is a dish I’ve never heard of. It’s a Taiwanese noodle dish that comes with clear noodles sprinkled with ground pork over a brownish broth. At first you think it’s a thick rich broth but with one sip, it actually taste refreshingly spicy. The owner suggested the medium spicy and it was perfectly balanced. Next time I will try the fire cracker pork intestine. Heard they only use kosher pork…; p
