History

Established in 2009.

When Jo began her career in the mental health field, she focused on addiction and codependency in the individual and family system. Jo obtained a credential called a CATC-IV, a certification with the State of California as a specialist in Addiction Studies. Jo teaches how addiction moves through the generations. This understanding helps reduce shame for individuals who have used addictive behaviors to cope and provides awareness for some maladaptive thinking and behaviors. As she added to her specialty, Jo has been working with all types of trauma. PTSD, developmental trauma and dysfunctional family systems. Let’s face it, addiction is merely a symptom of something bigger going on for the individual and the family system. There are answers to a better way of living.
