Meet the Business Owner

Andrea R.

Business Owner

Andrea, a native Californian, was raised in the San Fernando Valley. She received her accounting degree from California State University Northridge in 1984. While in her freshman year of college, Andrea began her career in an accounting firm as a secretary, working her way up to the position of junior accountant while still in school, and eventually becoming a partner in the firm.

In recent years, Andrea had been involved with a start-​up Internet company. She became involved at their inception by assisting them with the preparation of their business plan and securing venture capital. She created and managed the Accounting, Human Resources, and Facilities departments as the company grew from five employees to more than two hundred, and guided them through their successful IPO in September 1999. Through this process, Andrea has gained valuable experience and skills with regard to this highly specialized type of accounting.
