I have recently relocated from out of state and could not have been more pleased with this service. Wayne helped me and he is extremely knowledgeable and informative. I felt very confident in my mattress purchase and they even did same day delivery. Great family owned business with great service. Thanks Wayne and the team, I slept amazing last night on my new mattress!

Earlier in the day, we had visited a well-​known mattress store. There was only one salesman and he was sitting at a desk working with a couple. He never acknowledged us. That worked out ok as we wandered the store and tried every mattress and never found one we liked and thought the prices (even during the January sales) were outrageous.
We walked into The Mattress Store by accident. The store we planned on visiting was further down the street. But Wayne was so nice and helpful and we very quickly found a mattress that we really liked. It was a fast transaction and our Diamond Serendipity mattress was delivered within a few days. It is so comfortable. I don’t know why we waited so long to replace our old bad because we now realize it was awful!

We purchased a inexpensive Diamond Mattress for our Son and loved it a few years ago. We shopped around quite a bit before purchasing. Came back to get an adjustable bed and Mattress for our 95 yr old Father. When it was delivered it was too high for him to get in. Wayne ordered the lower legs and brought them out himself to change the next night after work. They have great Mattress at a great price. Extremely good customer service.

A shout out to The Mattress Store — Thousand Oaks — in particular, Dave Murray. After 3 years of owning my adjustable bed (which I LOVE), I experienced a small «under warranty» issue. TMS team spent a week going through old dusty warehouse boxes to find a copy of my receipt so I didn’t have to pay for the fix (after my bonehead move of not registering my base and throwing away the receipt). I really appreciate the service as well as the product! Thank you all!

Wayne was so informative, patient and kind in my selection of a new mattress set! The store doesn’t have the outgas odors like other traditional mattress stores have. There is a nice selection in a range of prices, free frame and delivery and no taxes included unlike the other guys!
The delivery guys called when they were suppose to, called a half an hour prior to make sure I could get back from errands, arrived in a pick-​up (could have been a problem if raining though), set up the frame and mattress with a smile. Definitely sending friends to buy there next mattress set to this store!

Both my husband and I had the best experience here. Wayne is very knowledgeable and helpful. He had a lot of expertise.
I allowed my husband to choose a mattress out for us to be delivered to a second home. It was delivered as promised and on time. I however realized I should not have given my husband free reign, as I thought it was too soft.
I went back yesterday and Wayne was great! I found one similar but that I could enjoy and ordered a second one as well.

My wife and I purchased a mattress in 2013 and returned again when we needed another mattress. We worked with Wayne both times and had an excellent experience with each purchase. Wayne listened to what we needed, made recommendations based on our preferences and allowed us to take our time to make a decision. The delivery guys were also fast and efficient. Can’t ask for a better overall experience. We highly recommend this store if you’re in the market for a new mattress.

We bought our mattress from the store. We were just looking and really not planning on purchasing a mattress from an independent store since we had a bad experience with sit n sleep. We were going to buy from a department store, but the price was right and we trusted the sales person, Wayne. The delivery was as promised and we recommend.

Wayne is the best. Came in 4 times to make sure the mattress I liked was the right one before I bought. Never any pressure. Always courteous and informative. Best prices around (and believe me I looked hard). Would definitely recommend this place, make sure you ask for Wayne. Ended up buying 2 mattresses.

Love Wayne– bought my third mattress from him– He really takes the time to explain the differences between the beds and wants to make sure you are happy– got my daughter and her boyfriend a great bed at a great price! Thank you to everyone at this store.

Their customer service is HORRIBLE and we are telling everyone we know to avoid this store. There was one guy working there and no other customers, and he was more concerned with watching the World Cup on his computer than helping us. We had to seek him out, then we would ask a question, he would answer then ditch us to go back and watch the computer again. After the third time, we left and took our business a few stores down to Sit & Sleep where (Gasp!) they actually were working and doing their job.

We moved to the other side of the Valley and needed mattress’s for the kids, shopped around locally to no avail. We had such a great experience here last time we made the drive, it was worth it! Great Matt’s, great price! Drivers also friendly & on time! Thanks again, kids loved their new Matts!

I will not be returning nor recommending this store to anyone.
While I was pleased with the product and the price, they get a big fat fail in terms of customer service.
On the scheduled date of my delivery, the hours kept passing and I received no word from the store or delivery service. Finally, at 4pm, I called the store. I had to call 5 times over the course of an hour to finally reach someone. They claimed they never received the mattress I ordered, and they blamed it on the manufacturer. The associate told me he had no idea when they could get the mattress, but offered me a loaner in the meantime. I asked to speak with the manager, who was my original salesman, and I never heard back from him. I finally reached the manager the following day, and again, he took no responsibility for the mishap and blamed it on everyone else. He acted very agitated with me, as if this were my fault.
I don’t care who screwed up… own up to it and make it right. That’s the way good business run. Don’t blame others. You are the point person… step up and be a man (ager).
They finally delivered the mattress a week late.
One last thing… I have had numerous deliveries and service calls in the past week since I moved in, and these delivery guys are the only ones who did not call ahead of time to say they were on their way. Again, poor customer service.

My friend, Lisa from Agoura, who knows I always review businesses on Unilocal,was so impressed with the service she received from Wayne at The Mattress Store that she asked me to write this review on her behalf. She was looking for two queen sized mattresses but was very unsure about what firmness they should be. She told me that even though she went in several times before making the final purchase and must have driven Wayne crazy, he was so patient with her throughout the process that she ultimately got exactly what she wanted. After sleeping on them for several weeks now, she says she loves them and could not be more pleased with her purchase. She asked me to be sure and mention that Wayne really deserves an extra shout out!
