Diva Nails

I went for a parrafin mani/​special pedi and eyebrow wax. 1 star for the great eyebrow job.
The nail technician was nice but either nervous or inexperienced. The massage during pedicure was great but completely skipped my heels which is the main place I want a massage at.
Parrafin wax during manicure was way too hot, good thing I have a high tolerance for pain. They should be aware of temperature before applying, not burn my hand and then ask me if its okay.
Then my polish on my nails was applied way too thick and I couldnt stay for a redo since my sitter needed to leave by 7 pm. Mind you I was there from 4:45 pm to 6:45 pm. I stayed for about 10 minutes just to dry the nails under the fan and then told to «just be careful». I asked for a $ 7.00 discount and pay $ 60 instead of redo since I couldnt stay, lady got flustered and said no. But didnt offer for me to get it fixed another time instead. Smh.
So I was careful from 7pm-​9pm and went to sleep. The pictures shows what I woke up to.
$ 67 dollars later. Supposed to be $ 48 mani pedi combo special with $ 16 wax job. I paid $ 3.00 over the anticipated price and didn’t receive a receipt and then woke up to nails that I have to remove myself.
Also, I was hot! I think only the fan was on, no AC even though the door was closed.

Great customer service. I’m definitely going to go back! The place is clean and the prices are fairly reasonable. I love my nails and my eyebrows! They did an amazing job!

Went in for a pedicure with parafin wax treatment. I was burned by the wax treatment on one foot, and told them I didn’t want the wax treatment after that. The nail tech apologized and cooled my foot down with cold water and applied cooling gel to my foot. He went to check on the wax tub and it had been turned up. He apologized again, but damage had already been done. This is a mistake that should never happen.

Great job for the whole family! Hubby got a wax, daughter got her nails painted and I got full set acrylics all within 90 minutes. Great staff and happy people!

I went to Diva Nails for the first time out of convenience, and saw Tony. I had a gel manicure and pedicure. Tony did an amazing job! I’ve never had a gel manicure, but will definitely go back on a regular basis.

I really wanted to like my experience. In fact, I get the most expensive package so I could relax. Unfortunately, I feel cheated with my money. The best part was the massage chair!
I paid $ 60 for a jelly pedicure which consisted of sludge that I dunked my feet in. The stone massage was hot, but not a massage. The paint had air bubbles and she rushed me out because she didn’t want me to see that she accidentally touched the paint and made a dent in it. AND the worst? They tried to use USED pedicure slippers to me (I know because I saw the guy pick up the ones a lady left behind.) I am so disappointed. Not even my toes were cleaned :(I guess this is what I get for cheating on my regular nail salon. Lesson learned!

Cannot beat the price for a half leg wax, $ 35. Clean area and nice polite service. Called ahead of time to let them know I was coming in. When I arrived I was immediately taken care of. No your 5star salon, but I dont mind considering the affordability. I dont consider leg waxing a hard service, so I cant accept paying $ ⁴⁰⁄₅₀ at other locations. I’ll definitely go back

Before entering the store, I was greeted at the entrance by a lady (possibly the owner) sitting in a beach chair and was assigned by her a manicurist who happened to be sleeping in one of the massage chairs on the sales floor. Needless to say, she most likely was tired and couldn’t wait to get off of work. My mani/​pedi was nothing to rave about and she didn’t even bother to make small talk.

I made an appointment before coming in because I needed to be guaranteed a spot, as my nails were for my winterball dance, which was on December 19^th. I forgot the name of the lady who did my nails but she was really nice, & not at all rude. I got acrylics and matte gel nail polish, and also got some crystals on my pinky and pointer finger.
First of all, the acrylics were extremely thick when she applied the powder. My mom pointed it out & I didn’t realize it until after but she did it way too thick. The gel nail polish was black & I asked her for a matte topcoat, not aware it was an extra $ 5, which was so disappointing because it really wasn’t 100% matte, it was just less shiny really.
I asked for some rhinestones/​crystals & after she started putting them on my nails she told me it was $ 5 per nail, which was an extra $ 20 because I got four nails done, which was extremely outrageous!
My nails have lasted for over 30 days with no polish chipping, but within the first week some rhinestones have fallen out. My manicure was over $ 60, which was so pricey and it was absolutely ridiculous. I don’t think I’ll ever come back here again. This was my first time with acrylic nails & it was a terribly expensive experience.
Not to mention, I don’t feel like their salon is sanitary just by the looks of it, & by the tools they use…
I recommend going elsewhere. There are many cheaper nail salons that are better than this place.

Literally just left the nail salon and I cannot stop staring at my nails!!! Tony did them tonight and he is my new favorite! He gave me exactly what I asked for and even chose the perfect pink for my nails. I highly recommend everyone check out diva nails :)

I was in the area today and stopped by for an eye brow wax. The salon was very clean and Tony did a great job! I will definitely being going back for a mani & pedi!

After not having a Mani/​Pedi since July I was in desperate need of some TLC for my hands and feet. I walked in and waited no more than 2 minutes. Nikki was very nice and she did a great job! My hands and feel feel so much better. I would definitely recommend her and Diva Nails. I’ll go back in the future :)

Today was my second time here and I must say… They are totally a rip off. I paid $ 52 for just gel polish for my nails and toes. I also left a $ 7 tip which was really generous. I should’ve left a 10% tip after finding out that price.
I feel like for that price I should’ve just went with a pedicure and manicure with the regular nail polish and it would’ve came out cheaper.
I went back only because my first experience I had was awesome. the guy which I believe his name is Tony, did my nails. He did designs on 4 of my nails and all I did was show him a picture and he did it. I loved how my nails came out. He also took me when they were closing. Idk I just feel like I got ripped off.
I’m an awesome customer and a good tipper. I’ve been doing my nails all over Oahu for about 6 years now and that is by far the most I spent on gel polish.

I just recently moved to Hawaii and was looking for a place to get my nails done.
Let me tell you about this place.
First, If you ever get the Asian male (in late 30s), he will look at your nails and smile. He will ask you if you cut it yourself and if you say YES, he will then do this smirk. I just took it as, all his customers were princesses or disabled that they can’t cut their own nails… After all, the place is called «Diva Nails».
Moving on, just like any other Asian salons, they will talk in their language while catering to you. Parking is not a problem because it’s in Waimalu, which is a big public parking lot.
Lastly, price. Expect to over pay. Regular mani is 15 bucks, which is posted outside BUT if you like gel, expect to pay almost (if not) 40 bucks.
Ridiculous? Yes. VERY.
***If anyone knows a great nail salon that is not a rip-​off, please let me know.

This is my 1^st time here since I moved into the area in pearl city and I decided to get a pedicure cuz my feet was dead lol. Haven’t gotten one in a year well anyways I walk in as I had time after work and took the spa pedicure with callus remover and boy it was good! I had Evelyn and she took her time taking off all that nasty stuff off my feet. So it took her an hour which is nice to be in the massage chair. Then as she did my pedicure she ask for a design which like a Flower and I say yes of course. Then she looked at my hands and ask if I wanted a manicure and I was debating at first when I walked in but I knew I had to get a pedicure. So I say yeah sure I’ll get a gel manicure since I know it last longer. So she took her time for almost another hour on my manicure which I like how she checks on everything. Oh yeah I forgot I bump my left foot so my pinky toe was coming off but she go ahead and fixed it and paint over it right away which I like that. So overall it was good and will be back again when my feet and nails are ready. Spent $ 68 total which isn’t that bad and she didn’t charge me for the flower design so she’s really nice.

I don’t know what all the terrible reviews are about. I think people on Unilocal just like to complain. I came in after work yesterday and it was a pleasant experience. They were very friendly and the service was great. I had a pedicure done with a paraffin wax treatment and it was very relaxing. It was a bit pricey for my liking but it was worth it after a long day. I’ll be returning.

Ask for Tony he’s awesome but books fast! Did an excellent job and since I was blowing some cash on my nails and on my grandmas pedi we got basically the VIP treatment! Tip good and he will remember you lol will get you seated right when you walk into the door lol!

Go in with low expectations and you won’t be disappointed.
A friend of mine had been compensated with a $ 50 gift certificate after complaining she had gotten a fungus infection from a gel pedicure she had gotten at Diva Nails. Rather than subject herself to further doctor’s visits and medical bills, she eagerly handed over her gift certificate to me. Despite her horror story, I braved Diva Nails and indulged myself in a pastime I haven’t partaken in in a very long time, however I wouldn’t say it was really an indulgence as the experience was about 30 minutes, which is the shortest spa experience I’ve ever had.
I arrived shortly before 6 pm; I went right after work and arrived about an hour before they close. When I walked in there were no customers (not sure if that was a sign). A male was lounging in one of the chairs and when I said that I was there for a pedicure, he instructed me to go and select a nail polish, at which point I made the safe assumption that he worked there.
A young Vietnamese girl did my pedicure and said absolutely nothing to me other than that she would take care of the massaging chair when she saw me fumbling to adjust the back seat of the chair. She asked me what kind of pedicure I wanted and indicated that they had 3 different types and handed me their menu of services; I chose to select the bare minimum — the Classic Pedicure since I was going in with low expectations and was trying to stretch out my gift certificate. I will say, though, that she wasn’t pushy and didn’t try to tell me that I should get any of the additional treatments like the callus remover, even though I’m sure my feet needed it.
She had my feet soak in a lukewarm foot bath, trimmed my nails, filed them and cut the cuticles. She massaged my legs if you’d even call putting lotion on them and rubbing it in with little to no pressure a massage. She applied the polish and did ask me whether I was satisfied, which I appreciated, and then when done put me under the dryer for a few short minutes.
All in all I was in and out in less than 30 minutes, perhaps she was anxious to close up since the other staff that had been there when I arrived had packed up and left in the 30 minutes I was there. When I left the salon and turned around the sign that had said «Open» earlier was now off, so I’m sure she was happy I was out the door.
As I said earlier, go in with low expectations and you won’t be disappointed. I wasn’t expecting much of anything and I didn’t get much of anything. My suggestion: if you haven’t gotten a pedicure in awhile and are looking for a nice way to relax and unwind after a long day at work… this is NOT the place to go. If you want a pedicure that you feel you could’ve done yourself at home, this is the place. I tipped the girl $ 3 on a $ 23 pedicure, which I think was generous considering what I got

Eh. That would best describe Diva Nails. Not the best, not the worst.
Before I walked in the salon, I stopped a customer leaving and asked her what did she think of the place. She gave the same response but recommended the guy as the best nail tech. I found out his name is Tommy, so if you’re ever planning to go here ask for him. I wasn’t able to get in his chair but his wife Chen-​Lin (sp?)did my nails instead. She was ok and got the job done with no complaints. Though, she did try to sell add on’s here and there. I got the classic mani and pedi, for the mani she didn’t even soak my hands in water which I thought was a rip off. My total bill came out to $ 40, including tax and tip. FYI. there is a $ 10 minimum for credit/​debit cards.
